I have a question, I'm new to coco and have been growing in soil for about five years. I use cal-mag plus to bring my ec from .233 to .4 then add the rest of the canna nutrients following the canna nutrient chart for canna coco. So far I have two clones, one in my soil mix which is my own version of super soil. The one in the soil has a nice rich green color and is about an inch taller then the coco and the coco plant is a light green color. I PH to 5.8 also and have roots coming on the bottom of the pot which is a 2.68 gallon pot. It's just very slow growing and not really impressing me thus far. I read on another site to not water to much otherwise the plants get lazy. I also check my run off EC which stays about .1 higher then the solution going in. So I get 1.6 run off from adding 1.5 EC. The plant is about 6 inches tall and slowly creeping along. But the soil grown has about an inch on it and has a darker green look. I want to feed with a larger dose but before doing anything I figured I would ask on here.

One last thing. Water in my area tends to have have high iron and manganese, with some calcium and magnesium in it as we'll. it is very resistant to ph change and comes out the tap around 7.5 PH. I use API fish tank ph down which is just a basic sulfuric acid ph down. I read on another site that the phosphoric acid PH down doesn't work well with Canna nutrient line. I would like to use a different PH down and figured one of you would have a better suggestion. I read that the humid/fulvic ph down works better with canna than any other brands but would like to see what any of you would have for a suggestion. I can't add any pictures right now but will try to get some in the next few days.

One last thing to add, I have the plant under a 600 watt MH the light is a little higher than I would like about 4 feet from the top of the clones. I have some other larger plants that are going to be moved out soon so I can lower it to about 15 inches from the tops of the clones. I also maintain about 20% to 30% runoff each time I water ( which is once every few days since the coco stay pretty wet) temps stay around 75 ish and humidity is around 60% RH. It's well water with no filtration or chlorine. I use the rhizo and cannazyme since the feeding chart suggest it. I even have some new clones that I used the same mix for ( since I mixed 5 gallons) and they are losing some of there darker green color and growing my lime green growth. I have other plants in coco so I use the 5 gallons up in a weeks time. Like I said I'm stumped as to what I may be doing wrong. I read the thread and countless others and tried waiting to water some seedlings till the top of the coco got a little dry. Nothing changed from that except I saved some money on nutrients. I keep testing the runoff and it comes back the same each time like I said above. I have three week old seedling that only have 4 nodes vs being a foot and a half tall. I want to make this work, I like the simplicity of using the organic soil but I want the potential yield, speed and quality I have read and seen on this and other forums from growing with coco. Please any help would be awesome!!!

What does it say on the back of the bottles? The bud XL and bloom basic I'm on about.

BUD XL: (from H&G's website)
Application:
Start adding Bud XL to the nutrient solution after the first flowers are formed. This is the period when big bracts loose their function. Adding Bud XL helps to ensure the plant’s energy is being used to create blooms and yield.
Bloombastic: (From their website)
Bloombastic is a REVOLUTIONARY NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT based on optimal levels of bio mineral nutrients combined with our next generation ATA biological stimulants to create A ONE OF A KIND NUTRIENT ADDITIVE specifically designed for the flowering and ripening of your plants.
... cuz I can read.

Both of them are for after first flowers appear. You would probably use these instead of the Bloom from Canna, but if you want to add them all... go for it.

The bottle will have a dose recommendation, cut that down to 50-75%, and go from there.

I would give bloom as I would canna boost, as soon as I hit 12/12. And I would use bud XL like I use pk13/14 prob. Never used them myself but a mate of mine has just had awesome results using it like this.

Im sticking to the full line of canna coco nutes.

Hi all,

I am new to posting so if I miss anything please let me know. We have two separate grow rooms, both use plants from the same veggie room. In one of our flowering rooms (12 x 12 x 8) we keep the co2 at between 1150 and 1350 except at night. The humidity is at 65 percent and the temp is at 80 (kept at 80 by a split system by Fujitsu). The lights are air cooled and the hot air is discharged outside. This is our second harvest in this room, all the plants are getting yellow leaves (just like the first harvest), not just at the bottom or top or middle but ALL OVER. The buds seem to be progressing fine (they are in their 4th week of flowering). We are growing in Cyco coco and using Canna Coco nutrients according to their feeding schedule. This yellowing DOES NOT happen in our other room without the co2 and controlled heating/air conditioning. We are using the same medium and nutrients in our other room. Everything is the same but the co2 and heating/air control. The plants from our first harvest in this room got light stress and the buds were stunted and never really took off. But again the leaves turned yellow as well. Does anyone have any idea what we are doing wrong? ANY help would be greatly appreciated

so i started some clones in canna coco with canna nutes 8 days ago. they are in 3 gallon pots. 1st watering they were given a total ec of 1.4...consisting of .4 calmag and 1.0 a&b at a ph of 5.8 next time they needed water was 4 days later and that time i gave them ec of 1.5, just upped the a and b a little and again at ph 5.8. then 3 days later i gave them another watering, this time it was 1.6 ec and the ph 5.8. this watering was yesterday. today, i went in and i noticed some spots on some leaves. all of the leaves are pretty light green, but some leaves have a bit of a clawing to them. this kind of has been going on since the transplant. i can't tell if i am overfeeding or underfeeding. most of the pics online i see of overfeeding have super dark leaves and clawing. but mine are very light green/yellow. so i did a coco slurry test to see what was up. my coco ec was 1.4 and ph was 6. but is it too early for the coco slurry test to matter? should i lower the ec or raise it?

I run by PPM instead of EC, so I'm not 100% certain of how strong your nutrient solution should be.

I'm finding out that my not even 2.5 week old plants can handle 1100ppm(95% of "full strength"), but I'm in much smaller pots for the time being.

James06 - Use 100-120ppm of CalMag until you get to the final 2 weeks
