I just did a side by side of Roots Organic and FFOF. Holy cow bat man, see the link below and you will have reason to stay with FFOF. That Roots Organic is crap.

On page 1 rottie posted he only used Happy Frog, Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tigerbloom for the whole grow. I want to do something similar, I have Fox Farm Happy Frog. Can I use the Happy Frog as a replacement for the Ocean Forest? Will the soil have enough nutrients for the plant before I start adding nutes? Or do i need to add something to the mix to give the plants the nutrients they need? Such as dolmite lime or worm castings?

If you can not use FFOF I would not add anything if from seed, or (clones for 1 week) Then I would add nutes like normal, I would not amend soil.

Just wanting to leave some love. I am a proud, and devoted user of Fox Farms. I have used Light Warrior, Ocean Forest, Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Open Seasame, beastie Bloomz, and finally cha ching. Since 09' I have deviated a tad and only use Organic Products from Fox Farms. However, I have recieved some inside information that Fox Farms is finalizing a all Organic Line up! FIRE IN DA HOLE

Check out my 09' Outdoor Grow....90LBS IS PROOF IN THE PUDDING!

Use 10-15% perlite with FFOF. When useing 5 gal containers (I do) start with 1 gallons until they are ready to bust out of them, then 5 gal. That will keep short and squat (as much as possible).

i know fox farm ocean forest has a good amount of nutes already in the soil that will last you 2weeks, but on the other hand i don't know about happy frog haven't try'd it yet but i would add some dolmite lime and worm casting it wouldn't hurt.

I have been using fox farm for years and I feel no need to change. When used correctly, it can produce wonderful harvests. Although, in certain instances, additives may need to be used. I always use some type of cal/mag to supplement the distilled water I use. Also, I never understood why Open Sesame, and Cha Ching have so much nitrogen in them. I haave experimented with certain strains by using only Beastie Bloomz and I feel it does better on its own. If money is an issue, it also helps because you only have to buy one product. Another additive I use is molasses during the flower stage. 1 tsp. per gallon makes those buds taste really nice! I also use it during the flushing stage. You could also use a finisher like Overdrive from advanced nutrients, or something of the like. Its about time someone stands up for Fox Farm. They have been around way before all of the other companies started popping up. So they must be doing something right to be around this long! I got some sweet pics I will post later to back up what I say. Puff Puff Pass
