The Organic Medicine Cabinet

Love the perkiness first thing in the morning. Noticing they are using alot more water already as they grow larger. Still can't budge the humidity. Looks greener though; may have fixed lack of nitrogen.

Can you slow down your fan? Turn the fan off for a few minutes to a half/hour and see if humidity starts to build....or try a wet towel or something that can hold a lot of moisture down by the intake.....w

A lot of people say to use a bowl of water, which is fine, but if you are not agitating with wind [fan] or heat, it won't evaporate into gas, or very slowly if it does at all.

They love the ambience though......one last idea: can you check your gauge with another?

Even with the fan off it doesn't move. I can raise it temporarily using previous suggestions or when i water but then drops quickly and levels of at 20%. Its winter though so i may just have to deal with it.

yo hows it go bro. happy to see your gettin dialed in now. that coco looks funky man, it works so much better than dirt i have to say. im gonna get run and xmas out the way then i doin some upgrades ( been sayin this all year lol )..

Well i do have coco in my mix, along with worm castings, my custom soil mix and perlite all at 1:1. But i mulch my containers as well. Gotta transplant soon but want to get more lights first.

Still haven't re-potted because i still haven't got more bulbs. However, on the topped plant i've noticed what looks like male preflowers. It has skinny stems and smells "greener" than the other which has a nice slightly skunky smell. Considering just flipping to 12/12 on the day i transplant which will likely now be friday.

Hey Natural, Things are looking good mate. Nice job. I would take a cutting from each and flower the cuttings. Reason i say this is if one of those is male, then your going to want to let the other one veg out a little longer to make up for the missing plant. Something to think about.

I'm only looking to keep one anyway and going to veg no longer than 30 days because of limited height. Only the topped plant could be considered for cloning as the other has very little growth at the nodes. Was going to tie the top down when transplanted to get more light and to keep it low. Then try to train it around the perimeter. Got all the holes drilled and some soft coated wire. But lights are top priority for now.

Ahh ok. That little one that has little growth, take it and bend it over and use some of your wire to tie the top to its base. That will make the nodes start popping tops.

Well things arent going quite as planned regarding transplanting and modifying/upgrading cabinet. Got unexpected company staying at my place til monday. Fed with another tea on thursday and this morning they were bone dry again and drooping so had to water. For sure time to transplant.

To 1/L pure reverse osmosis water add:
2 tbsp fresh urine
2 tsp organic coconut water
1 tsp all-natural molasses
1 tsp dry, organic all-purpose nutrient
Bubble for 10 hours then add 2 tbsp fresh worm castings and bubble another 8 hours. I then dilute with another litre of pure r/o water before applying. Nice and mellow. Going to likely go with this recipe, once a week until week 6 of flowering then just pure water.

Ok, tomorrow i transplant. Things have not been working out timing wise but finally got some 5000k bulbs. So i got some work to do. Seeing a rusty brown spot on edge of first set of leaves on one and the petioles are turning purple. Has me somewhat concerned. Otherwise not too bad looking.20131217_065842.jpg20131217_070456.jpg20131217_074040.jpg

Ok so i am confused and a little worried. On both plants i noticed definite female parts. Could have sworn the topped plant was showing male but got a hair poking out at an upper node on one of the mains. And the untopped plant is showing same on an upper node. Have them on 18/6 so not sure whatsup. Going to transplant tomorrow and make the flip to 12/12.

Not sure what is causing this but was for sure root bound when i popped it out. Was watering every other day, may have washed out alot of the nutes or maybe the plant depleted the soil mix within the container of nutrients. Not sure with this all organic style of growing.

Finally got some more bulbs up and transplanted the topped plant. Was suprised at the amount of roots. That worm looks fat and happy.

At the risk of sounding like a newb what's the urine for?

Mostly for nitrogen. However, i think i might have caused a lockout with the teas. Not sure what it runs at ph wise and that could be the problem. Decided i'm going to go with just plain water and see what my soil mix can do. I should try to find a decent pH meter in the meantime. I've only gotten one transplanted and its looking good after being lst'd and watered. Also noticed a few more hairs today. Really want to flip to 12/12 now but am debating on vegging another week and doing some more lst to kind of circle the pot. Maybe reduce light to 14/10 as well. Just don't want to outgrow my space.
