I was investigating my pumpkin situation and something just wasnt right. I had waaay to many flowers than what i usually have. So after some more investigation it seems during the seeding process (dad makes hole in dirt, kids drop seed then cover) the younger boys decided they wanted to grow "small sugar" pumpkins and fail to tell me about it.

So, i surely wont have the largest, but im sure we will have quite a bunch.

Grow on !

My sugar pumpkins are ripe already and the vines are going south in a hurry. But I have sprouts on the "big" pumpkins I planted the other day. The man said they could get up to 30-40 pounds, so we will see what I can do with them.

I side dressed and hoed the 2 rows of pumpkins.

Then I planted a row of the "Big Max" seeds I picked up a couple weeks ago. The man at the feed and seed store said they could get up to 30-40 pounds. No match to the giants you guys are growing, but bigger than the Sugar Baby's that I had.

I planted one giant pumpkin plant in the side yard of my house where I grow comfrey. It's super rocky and weedy and I forgot about it too yesterday when I went and hacked down all the weeds. It was there pale and tiny under all the tall shit. It's got some sunlight and I hit it with some 5-5-5. I'll try and snap a pic tomorrow. It's early it could still come back but I doubt it'll produce anything boast worthy.

Here's my tiny little giant pumpkin plant. Lol. I put in a Gatorade bottle for scale. Speaking of forgotten plants, I've got these little garden huckleberry plants a friend gave me a month or 3 ago. They are producing 3 berries each. I probably should have put them in the ground.image.jpegimage.jpeg
