The TNT Trans Thread

See, the authors here are using gender and sex interchangeably, whereas the trans community seems to see these as two different things. The article's authors should use the term sex instead of gender for clarity. And what about non-binary frogs? Fucking bigots...

I noticed the same thing. Perhaps it’s kind of like how well meaning people still say “marijuana” instead of cannabis or one of the many other words for it, not realizing the racist connotations behind the word. But, that’s a whole other thread! :blsmoke:

I did not see him ask that question. Please quote and highlight that part.

I also lack a definition of “transgender-ation”.
I consider myself a fairly progressive guy, but I have to admit I really don’t understand much about the transgender phenomenon. I was hoping you folks would be able to shed some light on the ins and outs of it for me. A couple of questions –

If two biological men have sex, and they both identify as females, is this considered lesbian sex?

Does transgender(ation) happen in other animal species?

Ursus marijanus
That leaves me with two questions unanswered.
1) Relevance of biological hermaphrodism to human gender identity issues, and
2) a definition of transgender-ation, as I’m not sure exactly what it means.

Thanks for your input guys. I know it is a sensitive subject for some or many reasons, I applaud you all for being so brave. No one here seems to have any more answers than I do, but I thought there would be more interesting questions. Perhaps science will sort out this mystery given enough time, until then I will keep on respecting your preferred pronouns, whatever they may be.

I'm no expert, but the way I see it is that humans are complex creatures with the most sophisticated brains on Earth. We're amazed if other species use tools like monkeys or have sex for fun like dolphins. Human emotion and feelings have been suppressed for a long time. Many men still have issues with crying, though the trend is seeming to change. That being said, people are starting to freely experiment with their feelings and emotions with areas in their life where something just didn't click for them. Maybe having a penis just feels wrong like you can tell when your shoes are on the wrong feet. Something is just off and it seems that identifying and being recognized for who they want helps them feel normal and that's all that these people seem to want, to feel normal. It may seem odd to anyone who was born feeling normal or natural but everyone is born with some issues we have to face, this was simply theirs. I see no problem with people being happy as long as they aren't doing it at anyone's expense. That's the way I see it anyways!
