Think this space is enough to grow a nice crop?

I think this will just have to do. Im using a 150w HPS right now and the length between the top of the pot and the black line (bottom of reflector) is about a foot and a half.

Is six 1 gallon pots too much, or do you think i can manage this? Im planning on growing lowryders mind you.

Just wanted to get some input frompeople that have limited space such as myself. Thanks!

Your going to need more room. 18" from the bottom of the light to the top of the pots isnt enough room. Can you get slightly smaller pots?

its enough for about 4 plants i would think. i have a space in my house for plants thats 2ft wide, 2ft in depth and about 4ft tall and i got 9 vegging, strongest 6 stay in and the other 3 get planted out in the woods.

i would look into doing some serious training with the plants,

im currently growing in the same sized wooden box. im focusing on 1 large plant rather than a bunch of mini-me's. HPS will burn those plants to ash before you get to smoke any of it so maybe get a larger grow space or switch to high wattage CFLs. just my 2 cents. im growing 1 plant with LST to the max to save that precious vertical space and i have four 42w CFLs along the very top on their sides. works great!

Use four pots that are wider and lower. Preferably square, so they fit in there and use the floor space as effectively as possible.

Thanks for all the reply's everyone. I forgot to mention in the OP that the dimensions are 2ftx11/2ftx2ft10" (WxDxHx).

also, im totally planning on doing max LST and then topping after they get about 6" <---if i grow normal non-autoflowering strains. But like i said, I do plan on growing Lowryders a few times, and those stay pretty small.

Also, after some thought. I think after this harvest or two, im going to upgrade to a digital 400w aircooled setup. Hydrofarm Daystar AC hood fits perfectly in my cab.

yea, in a space that small you need good venting to run HID. i would recommend, in all honesty, one plant for that space with about 4-6 leads and running flourescents on all the corners vertically.

dosnt necessarily need to be wider but taller wouldnt hurt .

why such a small cabinet???
