Tiny larvae/worm things rolling in tiny leaves...

Hey guys!

Unfortunately I do not have a pic at the moment because my tactic is SEARCH AND DESTROY! HA.... Anytime I have found one of these I have killed it instantly...and they are a little fast for being so small...

Anyways, I have found, on 3 occasions, a very very small greenish larvae/worm/caterpillar like bug. They have been rolling themselves in the leaves around the pre-flowers on one of my Purp AK 47 plants, and on a Shipwreck plant. They will engulf themselves and roll the leaves in with some sort of silk/web like thread thing. I dunno if its a nest/trap like thing, or if its their catalyst stage....

I use Neem Oil on my plants, and I am not sure if its entirely working against them. The brand of Neem Oil I have requires you to dillute it with water and a very small amount of dish soap.

If anyone has had any experiences/knowledge/advice on these guys or similar issues, please share! They do eat away at the leaf they are in, or its dissolved from their fluid or web or something...ehh...if I encounter another I will definitely upload a pic. THANKS!

Just found another...couldn't manage a picture however...

50/50 ammonia/water. Spray your plant down and the surrounding area, it'll destroy them like they were battleships in pearl harbor. If you can get ahold of DE, just dust with that when you start to see any and it'll clear them off nicely.

Perhaps they are aphid larvae.... I did some more looking, and at least the WINGED predators I have are DEFINITELY winged aphids. Little shits...

And if they lay eggs, well, they must be their eggs, and the worms are potentially their larvae!!!

I just had an encounter with the same worm species Michael described.
I found a curled up round fan leaf. I stuck a little round stick in one side and the little b-stard ran out the other side.. It was about 1/2 inch long and green. The little sum bitch ran fast.
I have had an experience with the dreded white moth tobacco bud worm before and not sure if this is the same. With the bud worms I have always found them in the buds after finding parts of your biggest colas turning brown and plucking off pieces of it. Then you find the bud worm inside munching away at your stem
and leaving a trail of worm shit everywhere..

Does anyone know if this is the same beast? I've been putting my plants in at night before 8pm when it gets dark. I was hoping this would prevent the bud worm, but I'm not actually sure when these white moths strike?
Anyone have more info on these bastards... would love to hear about them?
I know most use BT to combat them, but the worm has to actually come into contact with it before they die. Plus I don't want to be spraying stuff on my plants if I can help it.

There are what, over 115,000 Lepidopteran species in north america sooooo not good odds with out a picture.
Neem probably wont work very well if at all for killing them, neem does work as a deterrent in most cases though.
Is it an indoor grow or outdoor?

BT or a spray are your only real options
& even if the BT doesnt kill them it slows them down quite a bit
Other than that, search and destroy.

Aphids dont have larvae, they dont have a complete metamorphosis. The unwinged adults and nymphs are all female and parthenogenetic. There born pregnant too.
The winged aphids you see are male and they are not insect predators.

I know it was green..it looked similar to your first picture, but couldn't say for sure. I am pretty safe to say at this point that it
wasn't a tobacco budworm cause I haven't found any others. If it was I would have been out there right now pickin the bastards
out of my buds.. One thing I can say is I'm happy that I haven't found any more.
