Tiny white bugs

Was watering my Dutch treat plant this morning it is about 3 1/2 weeks into flower and noticed these little white bugs in her soil. Any idea what they are and how to treat them? I’m fairly new at all this so any advice helps. Thanks!

Hard to tell from that pic but try googling root aphids.

Are the fast or slow moving? Do you see them right after watering?
Can you closer, clearer pic?

They're likely a beneficial mite or springtail but really need more info to positively identify

Fast and yes I believe so

Try zooming in they are so small

Stick to a piece of tape,easier to take a pic then.

Try Googling MOULD MITE, see if it comes up.

Or spring tails

It looks like a young oribatid mite, they are one of 5 well known soil mites, which are good for your soil!

Looks like it could be soil mites. I just had a shit ton of them in some recycling soil.



There was thousands of them crawling on the soil and the outside of the container. They eat fungus and decaying material.

How would you treat this?

Ime I wouldn't. They help break organic matter down. They won't hurt your plant.

If you noticed them right after watering they are most likely springtails. If they "jump" around pretty far then that narrows it down as well. Springtails aren't harmful and feed on decaying plant matter and algae.

You'll notice them come to the surface after watering and they will immediately burrow back into the medium when you stop. GL

They would be, they muck up the rhizosphere

I haven't had a problem that I'm aware of.

That being said, an infestation of anything isn't good. Everything in balance as much as possible is key.
