Tips on my grow: RDWC

Hey guys,
just have some pics from my current grow. This is my first time growing and I worked all summer on this RDWC project and finally testing it out. It all works great, I do have a couple of concerns and questions though.

Question and Concerns:
-My plants seem really short this is about 4th week from seed. Should I move my lights up to stretch them up a bit?
-I am starting to see what I believe is the top cola formation. When should I start topping?
-The leaves not getting light due to leaves blocking light, Should I just cut them off?

Also any tips would be great from the pictures!

Pics below are of my 4 girls.

Thank you guys, this forum has helped me more than any other forum!

First question, needs more info. Bulb type and watt? Current height?

Second question, it just looks like new leaves growing, so it could be topped. Although the pictures aren't great. It's always better to take pictures in normal light just before or after the lights go on or off. Can see it properly then.

For the last question, look up Low stress training (LST). You don't need to butcher the plant to get light to other leaves.

Also more information on setup and schedules would help with getting answers. Also what strain? Auto?...

1. Leave the lights where they are IMO, you're only like a week off(if by 4th week you mean the beginning of 4th week so say 21 days) of what I'd be looking for but there are a lot of factors that would make that normal so no worries. In two weeks it should explode.
2. I cannot comment on Topping, my first attempt was a botch so someone else may answer that or if you google or look thru the forums you'll find advice there.
3. If this is your first grow I would not advise doing any moderate to heavy defoliation(only extremely light) but definitely not this early, that would be quite unnecessary. Being new to this I think it's best to see how everything will naturally grow so you can get an idea of how and why you're training your next grow.

And yeah, provide more info as TopDog mentioned and that should help provide better and more answers.

About 12-13 inches
I've looked into it a bit and it depends what the actual watt output is, as some are lower than what it says on the box and I've read that some can be as close as a few inches while others are recommended to start at 18 inches. I'm new to growing myself and haven't really researched LED properly as it's not relevant to me yet.

You'd be better going to 'Indoor Growing > LED and other Lighting' section and post in there for correct height. Make sure you post all the light setup and specs and try be clear as possible. It's worth trying to google it or using the search function on here first though. You may find your answer.

As for the other two questions LST should solve them both, I mentioned LST in a previous post. Plenty of tutorials on Google. It's pretty straight forward. Look into topping on the next grow.
