To the older crowds around RIU - can you remember some of the old toys you had?

Hello everyone..

few weeks ago I got to thinking about my days as a young kid and some of the toys I had when I was younger. well, i got to thinking about it and remembered that I had most of my old stuff stored inside some of those RubberMaid plastic storage containers.

so I start going through some of them, and I came across some of my old toys from the 1980's and the 1990's.

Some of the items I came across -

- Crash Test Dummies (I have the yellow test car with one of the dummies)

- Original Nintendo system with original box; two controllers; Duck Hunt game with gun; and also have the original 'Contra' game

- Ghostbusters 2 action figures with the 'Ghostbusters' car/vehicle/station-wagon

- Super NES system with one controller and 10 games

- Sega Genesis system/console with 'Sonic the Hedgehog' game

There's some other good stuff in this box.. and this is just one box! One of 5 full containers that I have.. all of which only contain my old toys and collectibles. I almost forgot I still had all of these.. sheeesh. I just may have some money in some of this stuff.. who knows.

If you collect.. or just want to talk about the old toys you had when you were a young kid.. please come in and share your story!

peace & hugs ppl

hahaha! nice!

yeah, that was my other problem when I was younger.. I always liked to test the durability of my toys. I remember being extremely interested in analyzing the aftermath.. seeing what kind of damage it created/received.

I've got a pair of old 1930's or 1940's metal dump-truck toys. These were made back when kids actually had to use their BRAINS and use their own imagination.. not like toys these days.. where everything is electronic and boring IMO. That's one of the problems with the younger generations.. almost all of them are spoiled.. almost all of them have freaking cell phones now.. which they keep their eyes glued to 90% of the time..

anyhow, getting off subject there..

but yeah, these old 1930 - 1940's dump trucks are very durable. These two trucks belonged to my father.. these were his toys when he was a little kid. Just goes to show you just how durable things use to be.. including toys!! Everything these days seems to be made in overseas (especially in China).. which is why things don't last.. because they're made cheaply.. using cheap materials.. unlike things made in the U.S.A. which it seems these days.. you rarely see things stamped 'Made in the USA.'

one last thing.. PuffNtuff... if those are your titties, then I apologize for what I am about to say.. but those titties just don't look right. They looked deformed... extremely deformed. What's up with those titties?... yikes!

peace.

I never cared for PeeWee Herman to begin with.. wasn't 'my cup of tea' so to say.
