Ok. My plants are exactly 2 weeks old. I have them in 2 diff planters. One of the planters has 7 plants, the other 4. The one with 7 is growing at a REALLY scary pace....They're HUGE, and cannot support their own weight (2 weeks old people, stay with me) and are all falling over themselves. The others are smaller and fine. WTF is causing this....I did everything the same with both planters, same soil, same light/water habits (sunlight, water from fish tank). Also, what can I do to support my plants, maybe toothpicks?
help muchly appreciated.
thanks

For starting out you will prolly have better luck using floro tubes or cfls. I keep the plant almost touching the bulb and usually dont have a problem with them falling over. Someone on here used straws and cut them down the side and wrapped the stem in the straw. You can tie them to a stick or whatever you have laying around. My advice would be to transplant each one in its own pot and bury the plant a little deeper so more of the stem is in the ground. You can take it all the way to the first leaves if you want.

Ditto what widow maker just said. I had the same problem with some new sprouts that were too far away from CFLs. Here they are all 'strawed' up.

I put straws around these guys then built up soil a little bit...

keep fans blowing around them at younger stages to encourage stronger root and stem growth. This will make a strong stem, for supporting all buds, I used no string, wires, or supports of any kind. Just grow strong plants!

the method i use for my plants that are falling over to sides because they get too tall or "top heavy" is i very gently squeeze the main stems from bottom to all the way to the top . doing this will crush the inner fibers allowing nutrients to go throughout the whole entire plants which will make its main stalk stronger. First day or 2 they will slump over but once the fibers rebuild up they will be golden.... Thats how i solved my top heavy problem..
