Too hot too humid to dry/cure?? Solutions!

Hey guys,

I'm close to harvesting but I hit a wall, please advise. I live in an area that, on average, hits about 85 degree F temp. I don't have AC in my house. I set aside a special closet to dry and cure in. It averages around 65% humidity and probably the same out door temp, give or take 85 degrees. I read that anything above 75 degree temp will break down the thc in an undesirable way. What are my options? Do I need to buy an entire AC unit for my house? Are there small portable cheap AC units that are roughly closet size? Should I get a dehumidifier? Or should I get the fuck out of where I live and dry and cure somewhere else lol.

So decarbing at 225 degrees to make more THC is nonsense ??? Don't know where you read it but it was way wrong. I dry differently but lets say I invented a drying chamber that controls things and I regularly dry with the temp set to 85 and keep the humidity between 55 & 65 %

Just keep an eye on em

If you're worried about humidity, Lowes and Home Depot sell a product called Damprid, it lowers RH and eliminates a portion of odors with no chemical vapors. Also THC doesn't break down til well over 250 Fahrenheit. UV on the other hand will, keep dry buds out of direct sunlight.

don't sweat it man, I have routinely harvested and cured in humid weather, and honestly the cure takes longer, but turns out better.
I have NEVER had mold problems in an open drying area.
I live in a redwood rainforest, its humid here...

Don't worry about the warm temperature (85 degrees) destroying THC levels, that's not going to happen.
Pick your coolest closet in the center of your house, buy a $10 thermometer/hygrometer at Home Depot
and keep a journal of the temperature/humidity 3 - 4 times per day in your closet.

Leave all your windows open at night, then close up first thing in the morning, you should be able to keep you house at least 10 degrees cooler than outside temps and your central closet should be the coolest spot. If you can maintain 70 - 75 degrees and 65% humidity, you'll be golden. Even if you creep up above those goals, you'll still be good.
