So would it be safe to say that buds only keep a quarter of its wet weight?
I always calculate that 80% is lost in moisture weight. One thing that does confuse me though, is why people would weigh wet weed.... As a curiousity once in a life time, yeah, sure.... but wet weight will never give you a good dry weight estimate, so why bother?

65 g's wet.... times .20 (The amount that won't evaporate, approximate) = 13 grams

and allways NO watering for at least 5 days b4 harvest
I'll give a BIG AMEN to that my brother! My first harvest got hit by mold. I watered 3 days before harvest, did a heavy salt flush type watering... My buds were heavy as hell at harvest. Ended up having to water cure the buds or i would have lost the entire crop. Like safeguy says, do not water at least 5 days before the chop.

Good to know. I dont weigh wet cause it is already hard enough to stay out of the drying area as it is. If I knew I had 3 pounds of weed in my closet I would be more inclined to take sample. +rep
