Transplanting clones from soil to hydro.

Hi all,

So i can get clones from my local dispensary. They have been rooted in soil and are in standard plastic red drinking cups. is it difficult to transplant the clone from soil to hydro, say expanded clay? Is it possible to clean off the roots well enough and not destroy them?

I would like to run the clones hydro, but I'm worried about killing the clone if the try to transplant it. there seems to be alot of roots throughout the soil. can i damage some and still get by?

there will be some shock but i used to root my plants in jiffy pellets and put them into hydro. wrap them in cheese cloth and put them into clay pellets and the root should be just fine and continue to grow.

you could always veg a week or two and clone your clones for the hydro. give away the soil clones or make them mothers. I could go on but I'm sure you figured it out.

it might stress them a little but if you do everything right they should recover and then get back to growing again.

Ok, i kinda expect as much. I'm going to try and see if it works. if, not i'll just veg it and then take a clone for a new mother.

thx for the info guys.
