Transplanting trouble

Hey erryone. I just transplanted my babies (2 feet high in flowering) into new buckets but does it matter if the soil is halfway filled(didn't have much left)? Aren't all the roots on the bottom? Just wanted to make sure w/ u guys

Gotta see a pic of this, can you put one up? Yeah a lot of roots end up on the bottom, but the idea is to add soil volume around the whole root mass so it can develop both out and down.

Generally it's inadvisable to transplant or do anything major after commencing flowering. Get them all healthy and trained to your satisfaction, throw the switch and leave them alone.

What did you even gain by putting them in a larger pot with not enough soil anyway?

better question what did you hope to gain by transpanting. wasting energy in root growth when you want it to go into bud production?

Go and get the grow medium of your choice tomorrow and fill the pots to conventional levels, is my suggestion.
