How much u need to get caught with to do jail time in NY??? I usually only have a few ounces on me, so just wondering. Also what's the amount of weed you have on you that they think you're growing at home and want to search you're house?

This is certainly doable. As others have mentioned I’ve heard of people who make regular west coast to east coast runs bringing back cannabis. I would think that 10lbs could be easily concealed to fool most any inspection barring a K-9 unit.

I think as big of a risk as the actual transportation would be the people you have to deal with in order to make the deal and complete the deal. You’ve got to know that those people are as professional and careful as you are with security. 10lbs may be small enough that you can arrange these deals discretely and manage the transport in a likewise discrete fashion but you still have to know the people you are dealing with are reliable.

The people who make these kind of runs successfully have all of this planned out beforehand. Ideally you wouldn’t even be carrying cash but rather have handled payment separately and independent of the actual transport. The pickup would be in a discreet private location where you would then be able to prep for the trip. The trip would be done under some guise that would be readily apparent to the casual observer (vacationers in a motor home, you drive for a coast to coast transportation service, etc). In order for this to really work your cover story should be real and able to stand up to being confirmed independently from just the“driver’s” word. A magnetic sign on your car that says so an so transportation services with a number that actually checks out. the threat you face doing this isn’t simply being busted at a routine traffic stop, if you’ve done your due diligence beforehand there shouldn’t be any reason for you to be stopped in the first place because the vehicle is clean (except for the cargo), But rather something happening you haven’t planned for (weather delay, road closing/detour, dui checkpoint,etc).

This is the kind of thing where the people who know what they are doing can do this for years with no problems, but the ones who don’t will get caught.

Anything over an ounce is what it was a few years back. Dont have it bagged out separately or carry a scale
