Bragg doesn't strike me as a stupid person...a slow one, but not a stupid one.
He has some experience, as a federal prosecutor, an assistant D.A., and as a private attorney dealing with civil rights cases (he represented Eric Garner's mother).
If he thinks he has a good enough case to go forward with it, then he would be remiss if he ignored it.
I don't think it will set any kind of precedent if it fails, none of the major cases against him are similar in nature.

Let Donald twist in the wind for a spell, the cases against him only grow stronger. Jack has been busy in court with both J6 and the documents case, so it explains fast track Jack's delay, but he's got them on the hot seat in Grand Juries now and Pence is next. The courts appear to have had enough of Donald making a mockery of justice and are speeding his appeals through at light speed. Meanwhile he panics, freaks out, makes public threats and confessions while committing new felonies. Who knows, Georgia could suddenly jump out at him with an arrest warrant and that would sure fuck up Donald's whole day! :lol:

I hope when they do his portrait, he is in an orange jump suit, let it serve as a warning to future holders of the office, better yet make it a photo, realism for this one, not fake. His library should have bars and be surrounded by grave markers of his covid victims, and it can contain the thousands of books written on his scandals and stupidity along with years of news video covering it all in real time and after, put a copy of the J6 report there too and other records including his criminal one. There will be no shortage of things written and produced about Donald and you'll need somewhere to store it all. Though some future republican government might burn the place down to hide their shame...

I noticed a strangely ironic bumper sticker on my way to work today. Since I live in Santa Cruz, we rarely see GOP or Trump supporting bumper stickers, so the one I saw on a Florida plated SUV caught my attention. It had the elephant GOP logo top-center, and underneath the elephant was printed, "Resistance Is Futile". I had to think about it a bit, because it seemed an oddly accidental but genuine self-admission from a Republican of being on the "dark-side".
