Trying Salvia

Salutations all,

I've purchased 10g of Salvia divinorum leaves via a local grower. I intend to smoke a very small amount out of a bong to get used to the plant.

I will have a sitter present, a good friend. I'm curious about the relaxation and meditative properties of Salvia.

I welcome all tips and suggestions. bongsmilie

Smoke easy,

ok dude ill tell ya what my wife and i went thru on it. first off my buddy shows up with some in a bag and said we had to try it and it was the greatest shit ever. well im not one to turn down the greatest shit ever so i hit that pipe like a motherfucker and OMG! first thing i noticed right off the bat was a full body pins and needles feeling. ya know that feeling ya get when your foot falls asleep and the blood starts flowing again, pins and needles. it was a very irritating feeling then after that i kept trying to turn to my right over and over to the point i was almost walking in a circle. my wife freaked the fuck out. everything in our house was on a conveyor belt and falling into a large hole in the floor. needless to say we didnt do our homework first and realize we needed a calm place and a sitter. i have tried once since then and its a weird feeling for sure. good luck and if ya do it go big man!

you won't be relaxing nor meditating if you smoke salvia. you'll experience close to opposite effects though.

It's very relaxing when used like chewing tobacco not psycadelic at all

It actually has some type of opiate or opiate like chemical in it and is a great tool for opiate withdrawl

Read the info and trip reports at www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia.shtml

In light doses I find the effects subtle and entertaining. Mild visions are great. Make sure you enjoy the lighter effects before going for the higher-level concentrates - they can be fun if you work up to them, or really strange and off-putting if you dive in at the deep end first.

salvia doesn't relax me, it takes me on a trip. In my mind, it seems to bend the universe, every time. It's good but short and weird.
