Trying to understand Stocks and Trading

Im young ive never been taught this stuff andf im trying to wrap my mind around the basics. So I got a question. Lets say theres a stock at 11.00 thats $11 right?

So lets say you buy 2 of those stocks at $11 and aat some point that stock goes up to 16.00. Does that mean you make $5 on each stock you own? So if you sold those 2 stocks you would get $32. And the same priceable would apply if you had bought 100 "shares"? im thinking shares means an amount of stock.

Because you cannot buy stocks directly from the market without a brokers license, Personally I use a Online Brokerage. There are plenty, Scott-trade, E-Trade, Charles Schwab, etc etc etc its about $10 for each trade.

If your serious about learning the markets, get Jim Cramers books. His books will teach you how the markets really work. I read all his books, watched his show "Mad Money". His insight is a large piece of the puzzle. Watch CNBC and fox business, that gets you up to the minute stock news. Watch the show "Fast Money" this show gets you in the head of actual traders. If you want to be successful at day trading it is a full time job.

you have to understand what makes stocks' value go up and down.

Par Value
Paid in Capital in Excess
Dividends

If you don't understand these three you shouldn't start trading stocks just yet...

I think it's important to understand the money/bond markets first as well. Really there is a lot to know and understand before you start taking risks. Considering the questions in your OP, I think you have a lot to learn before jumping in.
