Twisted White Widdow Seedlings

These white widdow`s were germed for three day then moved to a ice cube container filled with soil for another three days, then been in these drink cups for 7 days. 13 days altogether. Temp is 27C/80F, Humidity 40%. 18/6hrs.

Im a little concerned with the "twisted" leaves:

Is this a problem?

Your other situation is primarily a pH problem. The way one or more plants have those pale green, drooping leaves at the very top of the plant is definately pH. It looks like some are worse than others. From how they look, we expect their pH to be too acidic so have some Lime or pH up on hand when you get the meter. There are other cheap ways to test it as well. A good garden or hydro store may have drops, strips, capsules, for as little as a few bucks. Once you determine the soil pH, the major nutrients that they are displaying deficiencies in appear to be N, P & Ca. They should get plenty of K all through flowering to grow large buds, so a full NPK fertilization with some Ca would be a good idea. After checking the soil pH, either give them the fertilizer mix pH adjusted to correct the soil or flush the soil clean and feed them at a normal 6.5.

Ok, So the soil runoff of these seedlings is 5.8ph and 570ppm :(

I`ve never used the ph up or down so I`m not totally clear on this process. Can someone please break it down? How to apply and how often for what results?

I`ve picked up :
- TDS Wand (PPM/EC/CF @500)- Hanna PH Meter
- PH up, Down
-Superthrive
- Supermax B1

Now I need an action plan, What would you recommend with the new weapons at my disposal?

Keep in mind when testing runoff that its pH can vary anywhere from the pH of the liquid you water with to that of the soil. The longer the liquid sits in the soil, the closer its pH will be to that of the soil. Liquid that runs out the bottom first after watering will be closer to the liquid's original pH, while the last few drops that drip out after the soil has been moistened all the way through will be the best reading of the soil pH.

When the liquid you're about to give your plants is the wrong pH, you just add tiny bits of Up or Down until it tests correctly. Be careful, pH Up & Down are usually very strong. It can help to mix a pinch with water first (if in crystal form) to dilute it before adding to your liquid.

When the soil is the wrong pH and changes the pH of liquids you give it, you have two options. You can thoroughly flush the soil to remove any pH-changing substances and then just feed them with properly-pH'd fertilizer mix. The problem here is you throw away any nutrients in the soil and overwater them, especially if you feed them soon after flushing. The other option is to neutralize the acid in the soil instead of washing it away. You simply adjust the pH of your next watering or feeding more alkaline than normal, or sprinkle some garden lime on the soil before watering.

Well, here we are a week later, I had feed some grow nutes, Supermax B1 and Superthrive to the babies on the 7th.

They loved it.... looking great now and no more twisted growth. I think it was just their reaction to the MG soil as it had a shit load of nutes in it from the bag.

Here they are now:

SWEEEEEEEET!! LoL

I also took a risky manuever the day they got fed aswell... My new secret weapon muhahhahahaa!

I took each girl out and removed their soil by hand, then rinsed the rest of their roots and replanted them in the same size cup, but with air holes all over it and only half the soil as B4...

I know, sounds crazy.. lol

Then I fed them the mixture listed above same amount as their pot, but I had a cup underneath to catch the liquid and I repeated 3 times. I basically flushed them with nute mix. LoL

1 week later they more than doubled in size and looked great with no twist like B4.

I took a risk but it payed off!
