Nobody has the answer on this one! Week 5 of Bloom and my lower buds are trash! Black hairs, dry, no crystals. They just look like green granola. Why!? I have had high humidity and lockout issues this run, but idk if that's the issue. Anybody out there know what it is? Never seen anything like this! Should I pluck them off or pray for them? Trash the whole run and start over? Need some guidance guys. I'm stumped. Is it
A. LOCKOUT RELATED
B. HUMIDITY
C. SALT BUILDUP

A+C is my best guess! Maybe B. Need some more data :)

What medium? New or reused soil? Feeding strength etc? Never had russet mites so can't comment on that one.

Thanks man. This is my 30 somethingth run and I've never seen anything like it. Banging my head against a wall. Strange that it's only affecting lower buds. My gut is telling me that due to major lockouts, the girls only have enough juice to pump the top colas. But that's total speculation. It's crazy to me that there's no information online about this anywhere. I'd love to figure it out. Seems like something nobody's really touched on.

New Happy Frog Soil. Advanced Nutes/organic hybrid. Molasses, beneficials, orca, some tea. I've thrown a lot at them and wasn't watering often enough in between. I flushed them a few days ago really well and they seem to have stabilized as far as noticeable leaf issues go. Some healthy new growth. Some of the suicide buds are stacking healthy buds on top of them. Looks really strange. Regardless, I think plucking the "dead" ones off is the move. I'm going to have some literal Lollipops. Kind of a lost cause at this point man idk...

Your tops is what stumps me. When I had them, all my buds looked like your lowers. I grew buds like that for months back in 2011, chasing my tail. I'd scope them if you can. It's always better to rule out microscopic pests.

I'm just on the fence on if it's worth the electric bill to grow a bunch of tops. If I strip them down its going to be some seriously extreme lollipopping. Maybe the tops will just go full savage and be monsters? Idk...tempted to scrap the whole thing. What would you do?
