Yeah, I think there should be a limit on how much you can inherit. A million dollars should be enough for anyone for a start. If you can’t thrive on that, we’ll you’re useless.
I dont think it would have much luck getting through, ye olde huge amounts of wealth would convince a bunch of people that passing their baseball card collections on to their kids is what is getting discussed. There is a level of wealth beyond "they don't need to work" that most just don't grasp.

Edit: a million is roughly the cutoff where you can put money to work in a safe manner and just live off of it if you are frugal and not in an expensive area. Zero interest rates make that harder, particularly for the public, real rich folks get better rates and have access to investment vehicles the regular public doesn't.

I don’t know, I have a lot of wealthy friends who say they aren’t leaving anything to their kids. I’ve already set mine up with trust funds but most is going to charity, mostly for housing the poor etc. I think there is a growing understanding and desire to tax the rich more as well.

I love when people demand of others things they would never be willing to do themselves. Bad form Charlie.

Ok I’ll throw one out there, space force.
Lol, that's the one thing trump did I really liked. Concur it's a giant waste, and I legit have no clue what their function is (other than being another entire branch of government brought to you by the small government party) but I do think we should explore the hell out of space.

You have to pronounce it in a manner that matches the name, in which case there is only one option.....THPATHE FORTHE.

Definitions of wealth vary, the ones I am thinking of have 25m+ of investable assets beyond their personal property.

...uhhh, so I think I was going to make some sort of point there...but the above quote was saved and I have no idea where I was going. Those people aren't even the wealthy I think cause issues.

I have seen over the past 3 years or so a big push towards what you are talking about. ESG investing is a big deal and there is a huge appetite for it. There is also a recognition that some scraps have to start getting distributed and people are paying attention to income disparity. Can't keep the system going if people can't buy stuff.

My take, we need bands of homeless people to start showing up at any and all meetings they can get into. Get fucking crazy in there to let some know they are touchable and that their position is fragile. Throw some bricks, shit on chairs, etc.

*that's the radical left :) bernie people trying to get free community College is pretty middle of the road IMHO.

I’m far enough left to believe that higher education should be

-free
-brutally competitive.

Well I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. If this continues I’m fearful of a mob coming and burning my place down.

Also speaking of space, perfect example of making government smaller, they privatized space travel and look how good it’s going.

Wasn't that on the campaign? I forget when it happened but they were talking about student debt forgiveness and some father got up and said, "It
's not fair to me." Meanwhile we are risking the future generations and very livability of the Earth because we can't get shit done, but that asshole was worried about what was fair to him. a-ME-rica. Me me me me me.

I believe it could happen, I believe what we are seeing though is propaganda and not real. And I got my booster 2 weeks ago, I’m all for vaccines, but those are bull shit stories trying to convince the idiots to take it.”

Yeah, what is this current belief that lots of people you don't know just MUST be lying. Doctors and nurses with no previous public exposure are just naturally telling lies because....why?

Do you typically lie about your job to others just because?

Yep, it's disappointing crybaby stuff. Taking out loans and paying them back sucks, but I baffled at the people to want others to have to deal with something shitty because they did.

I think we aren't that far from it honestly. Will see. It needs to happen for my views to work, so oh well.

Are you the president of the United States? If you died of covid could it set off unrest and perhaps even war? Yeah, I didn’t think so. I don’t know you, but the fact that you read what I wrote and respond with MAGA to a person who has never voted Republican just proves my point about the sad state of our country. Here let me bring it down to your level, “with great power comes great responsibility.” Get it? No? Ok
Ok then, shoot him too I guess. Jeesh lol
