That looks like a kick-ass fan. i bought the econo-line from bghydro and they are loud!

anyway - i use one fan for my exhaust and a different one for my lights. I hung the exhaust fan close to the ceiling of my grow area venting out. the other fan i mounted beside it but attached it to the light reflector (also blowing out).

And i have a few intake holes towards the bottom of my grow area on the opposite side of my fans.

i have a can fan and filter just like that one for exhaust at the top of my grow in the left corner, and a 4" muffin fan for intake, in the bottom left of the grow and it keeps the temps pefect and the humidity good. no cool tube, and im in a 5 x 3 x 3.5 space with a 600watt hps.........

Thanks, I'm still kind of looking for an order on how to put these products in. So it will go.... room air > light > vortex fan > muffler > carbon filter?

im not sure how the muffler is installed, but mine goes filter, then fan in the grow box and air out of box. with a cool shade the air goes through filter then fan then a bit of ducting to light with cool shade then out of grow room. hope this helps

Hmmm....it is always best to pull through you carbon filter vs. push though it for quite a few number of reasons one being efficiency. So it would go if all in one line ...
Carbon Filter-->Light-->Fan-->--Muffler-->Outside. Use a passive intake that is rougly 2x the size of the exhaust :)

Happy Blowing
