REMI!!!! omg, omg I just realized your grow cab is made out of those subway ft long cardboard boxes! holy crapman batman! I fear for you. as an overly paranoid worrier of a grower, the magnitiute of FIRE potential there scares the bee jesus out of me there boy! save your pennies and get a bloody tent so that I can sleep better at night.
thanks for the compliment Hiddenfangs.

Sensi sponge, I use a dehumidifier, and my cheapo one does push hot air out ,BUT,it works very well. very very well. I would never grow without one, even in the desert. During monsoon season , I can pull a gallon a day. In Washington state I had a really sweet dehumifier and would pull a gallon a day for months on end....and the nice part, you can reuse the water the accumulates in the bucket.

ya if something were to catch fire it coulda been bad. But it worked. And that was just a one time "hey lets see how cheap i can grow and harvest a plant" and like i stated for <200$ TOTAL i can not complain the least bit. AND with alllll the problems of not having the right pump, power outages, knats, and ONE emergency move i gotta say she did awesome. SCOTTYBALLS thread when i did it was a lifesaver!!!! ALMOST like she grew herself.

And instead of bring up one of your old grows i must saw after reading through your first TWO thread (one 202 pgs) i just gotta say wow and how far you have come is nothing short of inspiring. Bout to look for the grow thread you started in the end of your second 202 pg one. MUST SAY AWESOME READING.... and FULLLLL of good vibes!!!! NOT TO MENTION all the great outdoor pics!!! Getting to some more reading! See ya around doc

Same basic modifications for every waterfarm bucket : cut a little from the ends of each drip ring to make certain the medium stays thoroughly saturated , make the holes in the top bucket bigger (I made the holes in mine 1/4"). That is all I do to mine. To help with humidity I cover each bucket with foil and I also prune heavily. A dehumidifier is good but I think in that case I would increase the air flow through the room. Often it is cheaper to get a second exhaust fan/filter than a humidifier. Do you have the recirculating upgrade for the 8 bucket system? I think it comes with it standard now. What breeder/strain are you going with?
The new 8 pack come with circulation. I'm currently growing Jack Frost, It's my first indoor grow. Harvested some outdoor and it has fluffy colas and much thc. Wish i had a good camera to show and tell. I'm dealing with powdery mildew at the moment. Used PM and Powerwash by NPK. Works well :) Thanks for tip on the drip ring. Great for new cuttings.

I can definitely agree with the power of waterfarm, especially for small scrogs. Those things are crazy efficient.DSCF8121.jpg

It's a past grow. I built the scrog screen from 1x1's and lamp electrical cord. Nutes were GH Flora trio, FloraNectar, and FF soluble trio (during flower).

I was wondering what was up with yu BBYY.Nice to hear things are moving along! I just picked up my 13 gallon res and controller at the hydro store today. I was really looking closely at the 8 system hook up. it looks interesting, . Im just running it to one waterfarm for my next grow so I can get away for long weekends . Its going to be so fun to run the res and watch the water go down!!! Your really lucky you get to play with such a large hookup of 8 farms. Good luck and I look forward to watching your farm run.oh and my Jack, damn she is a real beaut at 9.5 weeks FLOWER!!all her buds look like Xmas trees!! DSCN0640.jpgDSCN0641.jpgDSCN0644.jpgSystem.jpgI just started using a WaterFarm system this season. I rigged up my own version using 2 six pot systems that are divided into 2 zones, with a small pump feeding both groups, and I rely on gravity for the return(I pump up to the pots) I have one 32 gallon Tupperware central res that I used to replace the 2 that come with the systems because I wanted direct access to the feed water, which is not possible with the factory res without removing the top fill container, which is a very big pain in the ass. Right now I have 11 plants in soil (just in case), and the 12 plants in the Waterfarm are 25% larger. The system fits in a 5'x5' area and I have 1- 1000 watt plus 2-250's as lighting and a AquaEuro chiller. Take a look, and if anyone wants more info on how to build one, PM me. Peace out.

Hey Doc, ya those buds are monsters, look real good. Are those red twine just for support?
I drilled a wrong hole in my top rez lol not paying attention to the directions and prob bit too high , ill add a 1/2 inch tube and rig it to show me how much water I left in the top rez. My airpump fix didn't last long, gonna have to order the new diaphragms, and I got a email from gen hydro, they shipping my missing piece today. I am gonna run this system prbally end of October ill have it filled up. Dunno how many water farms I can fit in a 3x3 room, but I might end up building up a 5x5 and get all 8 going, as more is always better im by book.

Im exicted to get going, not too many things standing in my way.\\Take care dude

WOW jim that looks awesome... I saw a 8 farm WF system with the reservoir, the water farm stacked one, and that kinda deterred me just because the design. But shoot for 200$ instead of the normal 400$ i might have to lol. I don't know id have to see in person but i like the simplicity of yours. Will def. be sending a pm.

Very Nice set up jimdamick! The aquaeuro chiller sounds wicked cool. I would appreciate more info on how to build that sweet rez you made. Why not just post it here for all of us if you would be so kind!! Peace

thanks BBYY! yeah they just keep EXPANDING!The red twine is for support. I started her out with a tight 2 inch by 2 inch scrog screen. I cut it at 7 weeks replaced it with a 4 by 4 scrog screen on the bottom. She got so top heavey I had to string up another type of support system. the top one is just one direction off string 4 inches apart. Yesterday I added one more string to move away a huge bud from another light deprived bud.. The scrog frames im finding can be utilized in more ways then I originally imagined. A 5 x 5 would be too small for 8 farms, can you build one that's 4 by 10 and place a huge screen down on it. Scrogging will increase your yield significantly. peace broda

Thanks for the help! I have grown with waterfarms before and saw good results, but the only room I have to grow in is directly above the room I sleep in, and the problem is the sound of the air pumping into the bottom of the waterfarms can be heard from the room I sleep in, and it actually keeps me up at night. I have 4 waterfarms up there right now and I can still hear them when the pump is on. In the past I used to run the waterfarm drippers 24/7 but right now I am trying 15minutes on and 1hr off. What have you found to be the optimal amount of watering when using the waterfarms? I also read from some people that letting the roots get into the reservoir is not a good thing when using Waterfarms, while other people say that roots getting to the reservoir is a good thing(?) The people saying that roots in the waterfarm reservoir is bad are trimming (or pruning) the roots as they grow out of the top Waterfarm bucket, saying that doing this will encourage the roots to establish in the upper bucket exclusively(?) Also, I like starting seeds in the Root Riot plugs, and was wondering if you suggest that I plant the Root Riot it straight into the hydroton in the waterfarm or if the Root Riot plugs should go into a Rockwool cube first then into the waterfarm? The only reason why I wanted to grow in Coco is because of the sound the waterfarms produce  but if I could have the waterfarm drippers watering once in a while then I wouldn't mind the sound! Any advice/recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated!
