Wattage Question on Grow Lights

To try and keep this simple i wanna know if you buy a 1000w light and it says it only gives 100w to your bill is it still really expensive?

If one light claims to be 1000W, and another claims to be 300W but both of them only truly draw 100 Watts from the wall, then both of them are equal fraudulently marketed pieces of crap.

They both draw/output the same real Watts, so neither is any better than the other. Don't you just love how these companies try to scam you with outright malicious marketing tactics?

Yea it is pretty dumb how they do this and should I go for the mars hydro 1000

That's out of my realm unfortunately. I use pretty much only use High Intensity Discharge lamps and don't use LED, so I'd just hang around a little while and wait for some of the LED folk around here speak up with some advice for you.

Worth the wait and worth doing some further research for the money you'll spend on a reasonable quality LED light system.
