Weather is awful. Expected to lose power. Suggestions?

Its 29°F out. Ice is covering everything. We are expected to lose power. What can i do in my (garage) growspace if we lose electricity? I might have some candles/flashlights, etc. Nothing of any significance.

Any ideas are helpful, hopefully it stays on!

Are they flowering?

Most important is stopping it from getting too cold. They can miss a day or twos light at worst but too cold and far more damage could be done.

Best option is a generator.

Good call.....

Soil. 7 gal pots. Week 6 of flower. No idea. I'm in Portland, OR. Power company says worst storm in 40 years. No estimate on time.

Week 6 flower. All out of generators everywhere. And I live in a townhouse. Garage is insulated and stays warm due to gas furnace (which will stay on despite power outage). Can prob keep it at 62-65 for 12-18 hours.

I heard Texas is doing "rolling power outages"
In order to keep up with demand during the cold
deliberate shutdowns for two to four days is nuts
I would look into a generator

Are they in a tent?

is it insulated? Can you insulate it?

Are the plants raised off the floor? Cold concrete will not be good.

Do you have any portable gas heaters?

With no generators I feel your best option might be a battery/power box with some small led. Like hillbill mentioned. Just enough to keep light cycle recognized. Thankfully it's week 6. Worst case a couple days no light, they could throw a banana or two but they should finish up ok.

In a sealed "grow space" I built out of aluminum sided 1" insulation boards. Bitches hold heat.

Plants are on 1" risers, well off the ground.

I don't have a gas heater, roads too bad to go get one.

Lucky your in soil, helps a lot compared to hydro.
Like other people said battery powered lights can keep the plants on the same schedule,they won’t need a lot of light.
Second keeping them warm is very important I’d suggest a little tent heater for camping.

this little guy turns off if tipped or low O2

Wow. Bonkers. They are only selling generators to first responder types/covid test sites.
