Weed in Canada has ZERO value

The US market is not like the market here...or the euro market.

You will never understand.

I started growing my own with a prescription to save money...and i still do. But there is no living to be had in the black market unless you are warehouse growing.

Strange times. And the USA is quite different because the Prez has no power over the state..If it were carte blanche legal...well in 2 years you would be here too...maybe. They treat it like ripping off the gov with bootleg liquor now.

All these rosin heads with their early cuts and white hash...learn to concentrate...

:D

No dumping fees here.

Agree though that there's little value ATM - doubt it'll return. Even at $30/oz delivered, people seem to enjoy paying more at a walk-in store. :bigjoint:

Marketing has been powerful to dupe consumers into thinking dense (PGR) buds are superior, when 40+ years of growing/smoking illustrates otherwise.

Oh well, I'll grow more food instead this year. Life is good.

If 90% of Canada's weed market was export which the border lock down has show to be the case and now its dead and there's still excess and LP's duping and with 90% of wholesale buyers gone, that's all that its worth.

People can still make money at $650 if its moves fast. Depending on how you're set up you can probably get it down to $150-200/lb to grow after all expenses so if you still have a connection to move 100LB that's still money you never had especially if you have a descent job.

There's very little danger now in growing weed and going to jail so the price will reflect that.
I disagree about the going to jail part. They still setup road blocks just pull me over when I leave my house. They still fly over my greenhouses and scan my whole yard and house with helicopters. Not long ago I had a new person asking for major pounds. The locals figured out she was a police agent. If I was to speak on my phone about meeting somewhere cops would magically be there. I can’t travel to alberta without getting pulled over or even have a friend visit without getting pulled over. This year will be first year no growing so will be interesting to see if this all ends.

WTF you going on about? I know nothing of the weed market outside of Canada so I don't comment on it and even for the most part outside of BC as West Cost, Central, Easter and even Atlantic have had prices differences all at once but I know the market where I am.

2 week veg and 8 week flower, ok ok say 11 weeks for 9 week plants. With 25 lights most of my customers can get 50LB Dry from those 25 lights in that time frame using DE bulbs or 680W+ LEDs This is pretty much the standard now for anyone who has moved on from MH/HPS HID lighting to DE

4 hours every two days means you go in to your grow room and water, clean up the plants and adjust what needs to be adjusted. on 36 lights I use to water, defoliate and other shit in about 2.5 hours.

50LB dry = $30,000 CDN (at $600/lb) take out 10K for hydro/clones/nutrients/soil and hiring trimmers. A set of

No one launders money you used that money for anything you pay cash with and even then if you throw in the bank and pay income tax on it as a side job the gov will never look at you.

As for going to jail I haven't see anyone go to jail for growing that much weed for at least 10+ years and it was only because they were already under the radar for other things or they were caught stealing power. Hell even back 12 years+ in BC if you got busted by the Green Team and you were clean and not already on the radar they would take the plants, destroy the equipment and then leave.

if you think that $600/lb is not worth it you'd make 10 more posts about the Canadian market if I told you how cheap some of the Asian communities sell their weed for and how little they'll make on it yet they have their own huge market.

2lb per light

Hydro say $140per bulb per crop with ac/heater overhead that's $70//lb
$3 for a clone if you buy them
$10 for nutrients per light Plant Prod MJ set will set you back about $500 tax in and will do 3 crops on 23 lights but lets you it'll be 2 crops on 25 lights.
$40 to trim each light say you pay $2000 for someone to come in a trim the plants after you hand dry them.
$1000 for promix so $40 per light in soil.

70
3
10
40
40

$163 add in 37 for 1/2gr of blow
Any one who doesn’t understand this is the most accurate info is lost. Done this for 20 years and this guys number are bang on. From wholesale prices to cost of growing. Likely sees better stuff then most people ever seen.

From what I've been told today looks other hydro stores in BC are starting to close now too. Guessing in the next 6 months gonna be more and more and if nothing changed in a year it'll be a blood bath for the rest of the stores.

I was wondering how long my local store can hang in there. From my observance they seem only busy in the online shipping part of things.
I suppose eventually I'll have to order everything online.
You must be so glad you made the decision finally eh? A burden gone so to speak for you. The bleeding will stop soon man.
What is your take on folks growing at home anymore or even still? some of us are looking for an uptick if enough quit this.

Well my problem was spending my savings and cc to try to keep it going past July when the borders were suppose to open. Nasty debt atm lol Also was suppose to be able to get on a movie set end of Jan now looks like its postponed so fuck now have to look for work somewhere else.

There's still lots of smaller growers doing their legal thing but as a hydro store I'd have to have 100 to 1 ratio to make same money. You got one guy spending $1000 every couple days vs one 4 plant person coming around once every 3-6 months. Not sustainable, dedicated hydro store model is dead now unless you're your own best customer.

I just had one of my bigger suppliers say they won't sell to me anymore if I don't have a commercial space and want to be online only LOL Fucking idiots all I have to do is get someone else in the industry to get it for me just make it extra hoop I have to jump through.

Also didn't realise how hard it is to close a business, learning experience here. I'm back logged on my online orders for 6-8 days till end of this week so have had to send lots of apology emails for slow order shipping.

Ya this is why it pisses me off this legalization business. Folks like you and plenty of others got screwed by the jailer from Ottawa. Meanwhile his old man and wife carried on enjoying the good life. Maggie his mother was gulping hits off the bong in between gulping mouthfuls of Rolling Stones Cock Scusting. Never heard his old man mumble lips pierre talk about legalizing it. He didn't give a flying purple fuck about it as long as his wife could score still. Probably got it from Dudley Do-right of the rcmp.
Now the prick wants to profit from it? and force you too buy legal crap weed.
That makes me so sick I think Could shit on his dad's grave.

I heard from a source i trust implicitely that Québec's "legal" SQdC will sell dry herb in the usual hard-to-open plastic bags except NO CANADA stamp on it, once in a while (!): e.g. it's been removed and only the glue base with some back-paper remains, leaving hints of a former lawful stamp and hence proof that the bag was opened (or an attempt was made to), then a clerk somehow put it back to resell it AGAIN!!

As if being forbiden to look and smell prior to purchase (like with my former dealer) ain't hurting enough: now beware, rampant clients leaving the premice in violation of the law (NO STAMP) may come to regret they failed to check for presence & condition of this precious legacy of bigot prohibitionist over-taxation...

The OG's were forced out of the market for huge corps right?
The borders closing is what made 80% of all old school growers quit this time. The first market crash happened after the Allard case where people went crazy buying up houses and lighting them up. Then 6-9 months later there was so much weed the in BC I could get it for $400/lb even cheaper than now. The reason that lots of people stayed with it was the weed was moving still now its really got no where to go.
