Weed smells great/ TASTE HORRIBLE

Hey guys... I just finished my first grow and harvest and am now curing. One of my plants the biggest and oldest was from a seed of Disneyland OG I found so I started growing then a coworker gave me 2 random bagseeds same strain different phenos. I grew them like a champ for a beginner flushed perf, plants cannibalizes themselves before harvest... driend 8 days @ 60f/60rh and funny cuz first 3 days of drying the Disney smelt like fresh grass but then went away to smel like straight dank OG and taste delicious. BUT these other 2 bafseeds which smelt very good and citrusy and looked pretty nice with decent trichomes not as much as the Disney... and it smells SO Good but when I smoke it it literally taste like old shake you know those free joints you get from the shops that always taste like shit... that’s what this weed taste like. Even 5 days after curing. I get a decent high, and it’s smoother than I’ve ever smoked... but why do you guys think it taste so bad? Do some strains just taste like old regular 70s grass? It just blows me away cuz it smells so good but I don’t see the taste getting better even with a cure

IMO, you need to cure for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Ok thankS... was just curious because I’ve smoked weed many times that was just dried and not cured and of course I know curing will make it taste better... but when it smells so good and taste so horrible you would think it would at least taste somewhat decent. I’m gonna say it’s just not a good strain, but this stuff will be getting cured for a minimum of a month before it goes to concentrate if it still doesn’t taste good. Thanks for the feedback. Under-dried bud and/or harvesting premature bud can negatively effect taste.
