The plants show sex between 6 and 10 weeks after germination. I just kill or isolate the males
and lastly if all 8 come as females and i can't handle that many i assume just kill them too lol but for ~10 bucks a bean idk... with my luck 7 males 1 female on a good day lol ... idk i just started growing a little bit ago and i haven't done regular seeds yet

It ain't what your doing, just as long as you're doing, EXPRESS YOURSELF!

I have grown and will grow fems. My favorite plants aren't feminized, but if I ever wanted to, I could just make the fem seeds myself. Reg seeds aren't inherently better, there's just exponentially more you can do with them.

Okay that was my next question as i am not into breeding or anything and i like growing new strains and don't mind buying seeds so just stick with fem seeds and call it a day i suppose.

I haven't seen brothers grimm on here I don't think. I really don't want to pay 150 for a pack of seeds but maybe I have to however Brothers Grimm has these tester packs for 25 bucks for a 9 pack of fem seeds. Anyone ever grow their stuff?

I too absolutely refuse to pay hype prices and genuinely don't understand the allure.
Bros. Grimm is a reputable vendor that's been around a while; I've run their C99 a few times, probably my all-time favorite.
Currently running some Cinderella Purple (one of the $25 testers), so far, so good.
@TCH has a journal of his Cinderella Purple that's worth a look.

Just chopped the 2nd plant last night. Both plants did pretty well. My brother tested a nug off of #2 that was snipped a week and a half early and quick dried and basically no cure and said it was great. I'm excited to get the report and comparison of 1 vs 2 when both are dry and cured

Would you grow their stuff again? Do you notice a difference between Humboldt Seed's (i am assuming) blueberry cupcake that is 3x more expensive? I don't mind paying for good seeds if it makes sense... but 25 for a 9 pack you can't go wrong except if you don't yield some good smokable weed...

I dont smoke but my brother is a fan of both the blueberry cupcake and the CP. I will grow both again without question. That said, I will cull one of the mothers of the CP. Most likely #1 after they are fully dried and cured. #2 seemed to finish about 2 weeks faster than #1 and if the smoke is similar between the 2, there is no reason to keep both around. But yes, I will grow it again. In the future, I will also pop more of their beans from that pack to see what else I can find.

Also, 1 thing to remember is that if a pack of beans costs $10, $20, $50, or even $100, when you grow them out, and you do your part, you will end up way ahead vs what you wouof have paid for even a fraction of that amount of weed. So if you need to save up a few more bucks to pick up some better genetics, do that. It'll pay off in the long run.

I have probably 3k worth of beans in my fridge not including freebies.

The way I see it, if one of those is a plant I can grow and smoke the rest of my life and achieve the perfect high, that is invaluable.

That being said, this is what I do. I am living my dream with 2 tents and equipment, and if it never goes farther than that, I'll still be happy. I dont buy nice clothes or have a nice car, bike, etc... You don't have to spend boku bucks to get the best weed out there, but the difference between the seedsman fems I started with and the shit I'm growing now? Night and day in terms of quality. I got some bohdi DLA9 in the tent now and AKBB Consumption x choc thai clones trying to root in the dome.20231008_132011.jpg

I make that argument with my wife all the time

"Babe, i know these seeds are $300, but think about it, i can grow TENS OF THOUSANDS worth off ONE SEED" it's technically true, but yeah, nope, never works, lol!
My blueberry cupcake was a single bean that I got with an order of Happy Bird Seeds. That 1 bean is responsible for 14.5 zips so far. That's not counting the 4 plants that still have a few weeks left. Should be another 10-12 zips off of those four. Not bad for 1 little bean.

Nice selections. That Kings Banner x Old 70’s Indica has some killer shit in there! Ive been on a deep dive to learn more about the indica, listening to potcasts and old interviews with Gooey. If it’s the one he talks about, it’s a Pakistani landrace he refers to it as a “cabbage variety” hash plant type - leafy and just loaded with frost, but with a more clear and cerebral indica buzz than typical Afghanis. He said he really liked it and kept it for a number of years to use. I got a sour-diesel leaning pheno out of that pack that’s been one of my favorite recent smokes. All the phenos were lime/spice/hash but one was just mouth-coating sour. “Balanced” buzz head/body that just destroys everyone I’ve let smoke it and lasts for some time. Enjoy those packs.
