A conservative group came up with a liberal idea
yep, the heritage foundation just pumps out liberal ideas all day

SPIN!
I think that most everybody here would agree that more taxes are a liberal thing. Do most liberals like the plan? YES. Do most conservatives like the plan? NO. Call me crazy, but Looks like a liberal thing to me.

So.....spin? I don't think so.

Funny that you mention it conservatives only starting hating the plan as soon as Obama put his name on it, but before that it WAS THEIR PLAN. So no the only reason they hate it is because Obama is the one putting it into law. And I will repeat the liberal plan put forward was a single payer system where to government takes over ALL of health care. Romeny loved it a few years ago, even put it into law in his own state, what changed Obama decided that it would be a good middle ground.

so reagan is a liberal then? because he raised taxes.

and obama is a conservative? because he cut taxes.

specious reasoning there. the heritage foundation is a very conservative think tank, they come up with conservative ideas. perhaps you did not notice the right marching off a cliff to the right? their new idea for health care is to feed sick people to the rich or sell them for parts.

romney endorsed the idea of making the individual mandate a national thing a little while back, and he is "severely conservative"

For those you don't want to click the link here is a quote from Romeny

“Don’t forget, this health care plan was something we learned about from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank,” Romney said on Fox News Channel’s Hannity in an interview to be aired tonight. “Even Newt Gingrich supported the idea of an individual mandate, insisting on personal responsibility.”

So again this is a conservative idea, on the other end of the spectrum is single payer a liberal idea. Just because an democrat makes it law does not make it liberal and just because a republican does something does not make it conservative. But when a sonservative think tank comes up with the concept sure as hell makes it conservative.

You keep thinking that all us conservatives used to like it.
By the way, Romney isn't conservative.
Having an R by your name doesn't make you conservative.

And just to let you know most liberals hated this idea, and many still do, but everyone is going along party lines because it is the times we live in.

And again created by a CONSERVATIVE THINK TANK. What makes it not conservative, and do not tell me taxes since taxes are niether conservative or liberal they are a necessary evil.

How is it liberal to put the fate of our health care system in the hands of corporations and give them a steady garenteed source of revenue while not forcing them to lower premiums. This is IN NO WAY LIBERAL idea.

The heritage foundation came up with the idea, for a second do you think they would put their time a resources into anything that would ever be considered liberal. and I love how you ignored the rest of my post on what would we replace it with which would offer all the benefits yet give no new negatives.

Nope you are only taxed when you don't have health care and am forcing my premium to go up. It is forceing other to take personal responsibility for their health and not drive my rate through the roof expecting free health care when they get sick. Sorry it is a little more complicated then just a new tax. What is wrong with forcing people to take personal responsibility for their health. Should I be punshised when others who can get health care just refuse so when they get sick the cost of their service gets past to me. NO.

NO ONE IS OUT OF THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. We are all connected for the simple fact if you get sick and don't have insurance I have to pay for it, so either get health care, pay the tax, or go the the gypsie down to street.

edit: You have been spending alot of time railing against the new bill yet offered no suggestion of your own, so I guess you believe the system we had before with sky rocketing premiums and shitty service and tons of people dieing was grea.

Then you DO NOT GET TAXED. But guess what your coverage can not be dropped, your premiums over time will level, service will get better, and a slew of other nice positives. So what is wrong, I see no wrong.

edit: I might add you can now shop around find a better deal now with the new trade system for insurance win win win.
