I remember the Blonde Lebanese hash.

This isn't authentic just what I made but won't be making anymore with the changes to Oregon's cannabis law it's illegal to make hash at home. But I pin and jarred it awhile back.

Thats what I hoped would happen!

My mentor was the first person to bring up thai sticks to me. He was the son of a pilot in WW2, and spent alot of his life between Hawaii and California. He had stories for days, and its something I sorely miss.

I am not that old, but that takes ME back lol

Thats a damn shame about the laws. Let me guess, some kids blew up their moms house with butane, so now all home made hash is illigal?

Sucks they changed the laws on you. That looks nice need to find a pic I have, it's almost exactly the same as yours but from 1978 and instead of IPA it was a can of Miller. I could almost taste it in the pic with the jar full.

My pops taught me that old hash burning trick with a nail and cup, I cherish the memory.

Any time i seen real thai stick it wasnt wrapped in leaf or coated in hash oil think i aint old enough for that it came wrapped in thai newspaper pages with red thread stuff i seen loads of fake so called thai that was blocked up and some cunt cuts it up n wraps thread round it lol that was african imported stuff in reality tho i just feel lucky i got to experience the real deal years ago

I remember it from the late 70's. I'm old but not as old as some might think. I was smoking weed when I was 12-13.

Yeah i aint that old i know alot of older heads and my parents both toked so i heard plenty im the same against my parents wishes i was like 11 first time i tried it hash of course as back then thats what 80 to 90% of what was smoked over here apart from odd bit of imported bud before indoor took over you proly not far off my dad age wise it sounds like

Same started out young in the mid 70's funny part is my Mom gave me my first joint was like you're going to end up doing it and I'd rather you do it at home where you're safe. A few years later my dealer was like got something you might want to try. Of course my interest was peaked he said yeah it's called sensimilla it's weed but has no seeds, I responded you're full of shit no way you have weed with no seeds at all, ended up buying a pound for 250 in case he never got it again. What I would give to have the strains we have now with 70's pricing :lol:

No homemade concentrates in Mass either, figure they did it so we’d still feel like outlaws.

If was opiated, it was probably just dipped in the wash. When you make smoking opium, you boil the latex down... they probably would have just dipped the stick in the water and let dry, so as to add to the high without taking too much from the opium, or further extracted, heroin, products.

Fascinating! Thanks for the input.

Sadly, I am not going to start making heroine to get authentic thai sticks, but I will do everything short of that when I get around to this project

Yeah, don't make heroin... that stuff's bad news. Opium isn't as bad, and has been used since ancient times, but it too can lead to ruin.
