Ok so this is my new understanding... dry ice is quicker and easier but the ice water does a better extraction with different levels of quality? correct me if I'm wrong? I'm trying to make up my mind on exactly what I want to do with the ice plants in my journal after harvest.

i've made it with ice water. it sucks. i've seen it done with dry ice and not only does it look 10x easier, the final product looks far and away better than ice water method.

Ice Water Hash is better quality, however plan on a solid 2 hours of work plus clean up for a run.
Dry Ice Hash is much much easier, but is basically just keif, but a lot of it.
I am planning an experiment with mixing the 2, 1st do a dry ice extraction, 2nd run the hash through the bubble bags to seperate the qualities.

it is a very fast way to make it if ur on the run tho...
Oh, if you're talking about kief making, that's different. It's cheap and easy for kief making. I was referring to making bubble hash with dry ice. I've done it. It works awesome. Just way more expensive and I didn't see a benefit beyond just using a lot of normal ice to make hash with.

Thanks for doing it for me because I would have tried it
It works great. But it's just like making a batch of ice hash with a ton of ice in it. The only difference being that you can't see what you're doing with all the fog.

There is some good info on here about dry ice hash. Gentle is the key work. Take the time to read here and there are some good comparisons. Dry ice hash is easy, immediately ready. You'll have a large yield with water-ice.
