Hey guys just wondering what you are using to grow with.

I've started out with the emerald harvest that I got off a friend who stopped growing so haven't really looked into them to much yet as this is my first grow. And just using what's left of this stuff atm

Cheers

Currently: Athena Blended (Bloom A&B, PK) + GH CaliMagiC & Armor Si

Previously: FoxFarm trio; GH Flora Trio + CaliMagiC, Armor Si, Diamond Nectar, and Floralicious Plus

All used in coco + perlite. Best results to date, the GH trio and extras. Worst results, the FoxFarm trio; i was always chasing problems.

Next up: trying FloraNova Grow and Bloom, CaliMagiC (if needed) and Armor Si (will still use) and Floralicious (maybe, since i still have it). I personally love GH products but the trio + extras was like 6 or 7 bottles at any one time! If i can cut that down to like 2 to 4, that's doable for me.

I keep on hand a Base salt, Calnit, Epsom, soluble micros, pH down, and potassium silicate.

I'm running Jacks right now, but I'll buy whatever is the best deal in 25# and 50# bags. I rebag the larger bags into gallons then put those in sealed 5 gallon buckets. Then make stock solutions as needed, I think $.02-$.03 per gallon is average cost.
I've not found much difference in the offerings from Haifa, Jacks, Growmore, ICL, Masterblend, Yara and Southern AG.
I haven't tried Megacrop, a lot of people report it leaves a scummy rez.

Silica I use GH Armour Si or Agsil16H both are a good value.
Micros I get 2-4 pound pails from Miller, Growmore, Jacks or ICL.

Using Ocean Forest for soil, I've scaled back to keep things simpler. I only use Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. Years past I used Sledgehammer, Big Bloom, and their powders, Cha Ching, Beastie Bloomz, Open Sesame and whatever else sounded interesting. I honestly don't see any difference in my plants using the 2 I am now, and when I threw in everything but the kitchen sink. I'd get nute burn occasionally using all that crap and salt buildup in the soil. So many products are snake oil, at least for me sticking with the basic fundamentals works well and makes life easier for me and the plants
