Well, my grow room is about 2x3x7
i plan on having only 2 NL plants, and was just wondering what type of odor control i should buy..

My three choices, so far, are:

The "Gonzo Dorm Odor Eliminator Crystals" ~$6.00
A home-Made Carbon scrubber ~$20-$40 or
Some type of ozone generator ( i was specifically looking at the "catmouse" air purifier http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-CatMouse-Litter-Odor-Eliminator/dp/B001H3KRDO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298614398&sr=8-1) ~$40

so yea, which do you guys think will be my best option +Rep to all repliers :bigjoint:

EDIT: I'd love any recommendations as well!

I've been thinking the same thing about the Gonzo Crystals. Have you had any experience with them?
I don't wanna toss out the idea just because they look like they wont work lol.

Thanks for the reply, +Rep, and happy smokin' :D

If your concerned about odor control, don't skimp. Get at least a 4" centrifugal fan and carbon scrubber to match. Expensive, yes, but so aren't lawyers. No matter how many plants you have, come mid flowering, they will stink up your house without proper scrubbing. Unless of course, your a legal grow.

Hey, thanks for the input!
I'd love to get something like that for my grow.. however, I honestly don't think getting a carbon scrubber and centrifug. fan would be very cost-effective or appropriate seeing as I'm growing inside of a rubbermaid container in my closet :D
I'm going for something very quiet, yet powerful and in between $0-$75

+Rep for taking your time!

I just got some Ona gel a few days ago, works great. My garage no longer smells like skunk...but it does smell like some sorta room air freshener - hard to describe, but it's a fairly "clean" smell, so I'm not complaining. It did exactly what I bought it for. This is the "flavor" that I bought (http://www.hydroponics.net/i/134265), but they make other varieties, too. Maybe I shoulda gotten the "Fresh Linens" version.

Anyways, I would think that a 16 oz. jar of this stuff would go a long way in a small space like a closet. If you have any clothes in there, though, they'll probably end up smelling like the Ona gel after a while. But this stuff definitely works for masking the smell of mj.

If you want to REMOVE the ganja smell and leave NO alternative odor (i.e. for stealth reasons), some sort of carbon filter is the way to go. Ozone definitely works wonders with the skunky mj smell, but it leaves a scent of its own (one that isn't particularly healthy for you). An effective carbon filter will leave no noticeable smell at all (provided that it's set up properly).

Good luck. :blsmoke:

I like that ONA gel stuff, been hearing lots of good things about it but could never find an online source to buy it.. Thanks for the link (pretty cheap too!). And, did you ever use that site?

I'm thinking about using a combination of both ONA and ozone, where ill use the gel inside my closet and the ozone generator right outside. But I'm not too sure if thats a logical solution lol.

+Rep for the reply and keep on tokin! (was that a little too corny?)

Anything but the "Gonzo" crap. Most 'odor eliminator' things like that are just covering up the smell not actually removing it.
There is a member here who swears by the Gonzo bags. He only grows 2 or 3 plants at a time though.

But if those 3 plants are a stinky strain like skunk or something it probably wouldnt be enough

+Rep dude

Can you let me know the username of this dude? If he uses it for 3 plants, I'm pretty sure 2 NL's wont be much of a problem :D

If you ask my honest opinion would be to choose a carbon filter whether that be a bought one or DIY.

Then you can have the fail safe of ONA or those crystals.

"Hope for the best BUT plan for the worst"

Make double sure it doesnt smell.

well, after getting the case of the "fuck-its" i just decided to buy an ozone gen as well as some of those crystals.

For anyone wondering why i didn't buy a carbon scrubber:
Having a loud ass fan blowing air in my closet just isn't gonna fly lol.
For anyone interested in whether or not that cat ozone gen works.. PM me in a couple weeks and I'll respond :D

Im effing baked off my ass lol, Peace!
