I used to have an african grey parrot called jasper (belonged to brother but lived with me) loved him to bits, he was like part of the family and i had an arguement with my brother and he sold him 1 day just like that (Bstard!)

a ball python is an exellent snake for a first timer mine has never bite me bite only one person and it was a drunk ass tryna handle him while i wasnt in the room or a corn snake but i dont care much for those and you need a heat pad for under the tank and a reptile light a water dish big enough for them to soak in and either substraight or that green turf stuff for the bottom or news paper if your cheap lol and they live like 25 years in captivity longest one living was i think 45 or somthing like that and also you can make a nice belt to remember them buy after they pass lol thats what i'm going to do have my snake always

Most Snakes are friendly creatures that dont want to harm anybody, normally the only time non venemous snakes strike at humans is when they first enter molt, which is the time right before they shed their skin, their eye's turn a deep cloudy blue & the snake is blind, they strike because they are afraid not angry.
man, i just don't think of snakes as being friendly. if you were smaller or they were bigger, they would eat you. they don't develop a bond or attachment from what i have seen/heard.

and a tarantula is even worse. you do not tame a tarantula. a tarantula simply puts up with you to a certain extent... and the more you handle them the more you are agitating them. you might handle it once a week forever... but start handling it 3x a week and that might be enough to piss it off.

san pedro king snake would be awesome... i really like the look of those. them burmese eat friggin rabbits i hear... that scat would be nasty !! :spew:
