I can definitely do that our topsoil here is very sandy may just use that instead. Thanks for the help I’m glad I found y’all! If this one doesn’t work out I will be a step ahead next time.
What’s going on here? Just transplanted into 5 gallon pot a few days ago. I moved light up thinking it was getting too much. Not sure any advice?

You in AZ? If so be careful and don't just use red dirt that's just gonna turn into a brick when you water it. That shit has to be mixed with compost and perlite/vermiculite, at the very least.

I think that water on your leaves is burning them when combined with the light. You also should water more thoroughly now that you are in a bigger pot.

Arizona dirt gave me a horrible lung condition. I wouldn't want it anywhere near my bud.
Valley fever and all kinds of other shit is lying dormant in az "soil". Idk if it can transfer to bud, but they say to never mess with the dirt or go out in a dust storm.
A dust storm FUCKED my lungs up.

Dirt has stuff in it. Welcome to microbiology. That said, sterilization and pasteurization is pretty important when adding new soil to a grow. Even stuff from the store can have bugs in it especially if stored outside.

I'm just saying the Arizona dirt is not worth saving $4 at home depot... Valley fever is like worse than covid.

start using at 1/4 dose rate, but for now just water and do the soil transplant. Go to homedepot or Lowe’s and get a $3 bag of top soil, you will be better off than using dirt from outside

Well, it made me cough up blood off and on for 6 months, and left me with fluid filled lungs for 5+ years.
I didn't take it seriously either. It also is estimated to cause 15-30% of pneumonia in the region. It's about 10x deadlier than covid..... And it leaves you feeling shitty and winded for years, covering your cough to avoid embarrassing projectile mucus. It was awful.
You don't have to be a douchebag, I'm trying to keep somebody from getting a horrible lung infection over 5gal of soil.

I didn't mean to belittle your lung illness. I too have gotten sick from dirt and am all too aware of possible hazards. It's kind of you to want to watch out for others. All that aside, it's true, microorganisms live in the soil, this is how things work... Sterilization and pasteurization for anything added to the grow, lung infection, covid, or cancer-do your soil right.

No prob dude, sorry for getting defensive. It just seems to only grow in desert areas, and if he is "in the valley" then valley fever is a serious concern. I don't even know that the fungus will survive with frequent watering.
It's just a concern that is very specific to the region.

Soil is the base of a good grow
If nothing else, spend time getting that right.
Even just simple as using coco and growing hydroponically.
Or 1 part Foxfarm Oceanforrest, 1 part foxfarm happyfrog, and 1 part perlite works good, just add alittle dolomite lime to that to help with PH and add some mag
