Hi guys,

Been looking in to pineapple chunk and from what I can see, the description Barneys farm gives is a load of crap.

To be fair all of the threads I am reading are about 8 years old and cant find any newer ones hense my post.

They claim the plant is indica dominant and short flowering times of approx 60 days while yielding up to 600g / m2.

Has anyone got any first hand experience on these seeds they can share?

Hey mate,

I got a single freebie from a order 5 years ago maybe, finished in around 60 days not much longer.

Tasted very skunky and slightly pineapply in a way... it was very much as described with a good yeild.

I wish I still had the girl as she was beautiful, but stunk too much for my situation.

Very nice bud structure and terp profile was great too..

How many beans did you grow? Some phenotypes may vary widely, perhaps you just got one thats off?

I havent grown any yet, just put 10 in to germinate, should of checked reviews before buying though only bought them because of the 'fast' flowering times and good yield. It's just everywhere I read it's all negative about them

Personally, I find Barney’s to be at the very bottom of the list of breeders... just waaaaay too many inconsistencies from year to year, same strain, too many false claims, and too many poorly researched and bred seeds... I’m sure plenty of people have great success with them.. I’ve grown a couple strains of theirs and simply found them boring and fairly “generic” as in, I’m scratching my head trying to remember which of their strains it even was that I have grown.. just mediocre product, again, in my opinion.

Stay away from their CRITICAL KUSH, 18 of the 20 I recently planted were all really deformed. I was so mad, I gave the 2 out of those 20 that weren't deformed away... that's almost 200.00 in seeds, and yeah... it still makes me so mad!

I was pulling over a QP every 60 days with 16 clones in 1gal containers with a 4x4 tent and a 400w setup. I always enjoyed that strain....

Yep .... hate Barney’s ... Blue cheese was hot garbage . Dodgy grow .. irregular growth / stunting.
Tangerine Dream was another fail.

I grew a pack probably 10 years ago. Everyone was bitching about them on web but I got straight pineapple smell and flavors. All the plants were short, branchy, loose buds. I didn't keep any because of the medium strength potency and lower bag appeal do to loose buds. Not that I'd recommend them though, especially if it's all your going to grow. I'd setup a testing areas separate from main production area and run them that way if they all suck it's not such a big deal.

I grew one plant outdoors and it finished on the late side for me, late October. Mine stretched and yielded good and the smoke was pretty good too, skunky smells.

Got one from an Attitude freebie years back and it was bland compared to the other strains I done that crop, never again from me.

Update to anyone who considers pineapple Chunk. Dont do it! Absolute shit from day 1, cant work out the problem. I also grew gorrila skittles in same tent which were massive plants with tonnes of weed, but the pineapple just would not grow properly
