what's your favourite marijuana movie?

thanx for all your suggestions. i had a great day yesterday just watching films. still got a few ore to watch

I disagree many films have marijuana but aren't comedies and nor should they be. Marijuana is common and crops up in many places. (No pun intended)
What about Blow and Midnight Express? The protagonists are sent to prison for smuggling marijuana. Many of Tarantino films contain explicit use of marijuana but not for comic value.

But i wouldnt really consider blow a marijuana movie.
 
Dude, something I noticed about Pineapple express is that it's a guy flick. I know a few stoner girls who like it, but the majority are just kind of wha? While every male friend I have thats seen it says they laughed the entire time, stoner or not. IT's the kind of stupid shit only guys would get into and thats what makes it even better in my opinion. But hey, I'm gonna light a joint and watch it again, peace!

I am not referring to films which include marijuana in some way. Many dark films feature drug use of all sorts. Cannabis use is almost as ubiquitous as tobacco smoking.

I see your point about smuggling. I've never seen ME so I will make a point of seeing it. Funny that the protagonists are pot smugglers. It reinforces my point about how society views marijuana.

I am referring to films where cannabis is the subject matter. The great majority are comedies.
 
has anyone seen the new movie PINEAPPLE EXPRESS? thats the best stoner movie ...but u cant beat the skool cheech and chong. anyonr that has not seen it i recomend it ...just b very very very very blaze and ull piss ur self on how fuckin trip that movie iz.bongsmilie:eyesmoke::joint:

I love the Harold and Kumar series, the new one has President Bush token some "Alabama Kush", LMAO, fuckin hilarious. The love making to the giant bag of Mean green is priceless too.
 
Any film by Alejandro Jodorowsky. El topo (eats a psychedlic beatle in a mexican shamanic initiation) the holy mountain (LSD, marijana) mainly El Topo in known as a zen Western. And if you hve never heard of jodorowsky, he was the guy that invented the mime in a box routine that is so famous and was in the original mime troupe with the great mime artist Marcel Marceau.

I saw Pineapple Express on 2 big ass brownies and thought it was hilarious, I went opening night and people were lightin up and swiggin bottles everywhere in the theater.

...but then I saw Tropic Thunder (mostly heroin reference not reefer)....but oh man...that shit takes the title of favorite comedy seen in the last 3 years, and is probably in my Top 5 of all time. I didn't see it stoned and was bustin up....now I guess I'll have to go see it again...this time faded.

bottom line. go see tropic thunder. and shit your pants.
