Hey guys, I'm just looking for a simple answer, I've been vegging my feminised Lemon Kush for about a month, at first I was using a 30w fluro and I realised I wasn't getting anything but stretching so I switched to an omega 125w dual spectrum CFL, she's coming along nicely under this light, I fimmed last week and im already seeing some growth from it, I don't know if it's leaves or stems, I'm new to this and I was just wondering when I could switch to 12/12, any advice would be appreciated.

thats the thing, there are no rules, flower when you are ready to support the plant in that stage. its up to you when to flower not the plant. The longer you flower the more you yield. I've flowered one week, one month from seed and one year from seed too. first two flowered in a one gallon bag and the other one in a 30 gallon garbage can. I settled on flowering @ about 45-60 days for an 18in beauty under 485 watt t5 fixture. they get about 3-4 feet tall when finished and return 3-5 oz dried bud in around 65 days under 1000 watt lights/c02/sealed room hope that helps

High!
I have a NL fem at day 33 from sprout and I just FIMMed it also (i think, never tried it).
As I understand it, they need at least 6-8 weeks to be mature enough and personally i think closer to 8 is better. you will see pre-flowers when they are mature enough to flower. ask google if you don't know what that is.

And as said above, it depends on how much space you have, it will easily double in size after 3 weeks of 12/12 lighting (the stretch).

I flipped last Friday and one of my plants doubled in size already,,,wasn't expecting that, atleast not so quickly just make sure you know how much room you're going to need so you don't over fill it. Strain plays a role too. Sativas stretch a little more.

Chem is right, no rules man. I always recommend wait, especially with low penetration lighting like cfl. You can start now if you want, but unless you have surrounfding lighting for better penetration your yield might not be the best. Although thats not taking account nutes, medium, ideal temps, etc.

good vibes your way

Edit: Lst man for sure.

@joegrowsmeds I went and switched, Its gonna double in size at least and I don't have the room in the cupboard and I don't wanna have to put it in the cold loft, I'm not really doing it for massive yields, more a learning experience, I was growing 2 in there and I ended up killing the other one whilst trying LST, fully snapped it, tried taping it up but it wilted straight away, now my wife don't want me to touch em lol I do have 2 of them cheap led grow lights which I can use on the sides, don't know if they'll do anything but hey, better than no light lol if not I do have some warm white CFLs laying around somewhere. :-)
