When Police Go Bad?

Honesty is the best policy with the cops, unless your carrying some weight, got warrants, etc lol If thats the case then you better lie your ass off.
Lying will only get you charged with more crimes... I dunno man, I respect the fact that there are laws out there, and I respect the fact that I could be caught anytime breaking those laws.

I look at it like a cat and mouse game when I'm driving and have some on me, as long as I play in the shadows and don't make myself noticed (bling bling rims, loud subwoofers) and follow the laws as best of my ability, I usually get past any cat unnoticed.

And I ALWAYS wave to police... never have I seen someone pulled over for WAVING, perhaps the opposite.

Good deal!

Most cops, if you actually treat them like a human and let them know you appreciate what they do, they will be all sorts of cool...

The young ones my age are the ones I worry about.

They weren't raised the Bible loving good boys and girls of the 50's, 60's and 70's
So you think it's cool for cops to enforce the law at their own discretion?

Well, would you rather it be MANDATORY they take you to jail for every crime, or would you like the officer to use his discretion and say, "Hey... this kids a good kid, I'm not gonna ruin him by taking him to jail."

Yes, I think it's great the cops enforce the law at their own discretion... if they didn't, you know how much hate there would be towards them if EVERY crime imaginable was being enforced and people sought after for breaking them?

Oh no, you're doing 2 MPH over the limit... tisk tisk, here's your ticket!

Oh snap, you're having a fake wrestling match in your backyard, off to jail you go! (A "crime" in my state) http://www.dumblaws.com/

No thanks, I'll keep it as is and let them decide what's important, so far in our country's history, it's worked out pretty good.

And most of all, people need to realize life isn't fair... some people get caught doing things other people don't... it keeps balance, or else we'd have more people in jail than our jails could handle!

Dude, you are looking at this in like the worst way imaginable. Do I want each individual officer to use his discretion in regards to the law? :-| F U C K N O ! ! ! The LAW should be upheld because it's the LAW. If there are stupid as fuck laws that officers are choosing whether to enforce or not then those laws should be changed or abolished. You have to get at the ROOT of the problem.

Imagine that's how it was, you would KNOW every time you had weed on you in your car in a state where it's got massive penalties to simply lie. Never tell the cop the truth and never give them the right to search. Or you could say "I have weed" and hope he's lenient with you. Fuck that.

It happens much more often than you think man. I'm guessing you're a white male, early 20's? Correct me if I'm wrong. But if so, same as me, it doesn't really happen to us that often

Lmao, true man... Guess I don't have too many problems with the cops becasue they don't shit on me if I didn't shit on them first..

Cops can now guess how fast you're going, and write you a ticket.
Talk about the US becoming a police state.
http://www.autoinsane.com/2010/06/03/news/ohio-supreme-court-rules-officers-can-just-guess-how-fast-youre-going/

That is kind of bullshit, guess I'm lucky I'm not in Ohio...

but, on the other side of the prism, there are cops trained in distance/speed measuring... mostly the old guys back before they had radars in their cars.

They had some show on History Channel about "cop tech" where this cop would guess at how fast the guy was going, he got it right every damn time.

In response to a flood of Facebook and YouTube videos that depict police abuse, a new trend in law enforcement is gaining popularity. In at least three states, it is now illegal to record any on-duty police officer. Even if the encounter involves you and may be necessary to your defense, and even if the recording is on a public street where no expectation of privacy exists.

Yup, now they're coming out against the shit that catches them in the act!

How stupid are people - you put shit like that out and watch how much attention it brings.

I'll still film cops doing illegal shit if I get the opportunity, I don't give a fuck.

Lagrange, MO police officers shoot and kill tethered dog...

This one pisses me off, because of how clearly you can see the dog is NOT a threat, especially when the officer decides to shoot it.

So I've done some homework...

Since the NON EMERG line to the PD redirects to 911 (I called) here's the Facebook profile for the Lieutenant (who's also a K9 officer) of the 9 man PD. He's the man in charge, so let him know how you feel.
