When should I top?

I had my 300w light a little close and the lumens were at 28k, so in general as I've read that's fine, although I noticed it was getting a little warm (33°c), so I raised my light a little and somehow the temperature dropped to around 29-31°c. From what I've seen on my plants most of the time the affected leaves will change and recover. However if it just a mutation which happens especially on newer plants at 1st it will not change but it will be fine anyway.

The plant is so new I wouldn't really worry much about the old growth as much as what comes out going forward.
