When to havest w/o 100x magnifier

Whats the general rule of thumb to see if ur plant is ready to harvest??? I dont have a 100x magnifier to see the end of the tricomes turn amber. but the bottom buds are more brown/orange than the top buds and it smells just like dank. Its in the 9th week of flowering, its northern lights

use your instincts and ur hand powered tool , young jedi oh btw radion shack has a 30-60x for 12 bucks...

i got a 60x-100x microscope from Radio Shack online.. for 12 bux.. or check out ebay they got some real cheap ones there..

read the fdd harvest stickey, under harvesting and curing, and look for that overall amber look throughout the nugz

i'm using a 20x jewelers loupe - that's enough - just barely but enough
