And they come in pretty little bags with all different colors. And they have a thc% listed by our crooked testing facilities that's been all over the news for passing mold and mildew. If that doesn't stop people from paying top dollar for garbage, I don't know what will.

Hell, Ill gift wrap your bag in holiday wrapping paper if you want to buy eighths for fifty LOL.
I have seen some guys do that. Order bags online and bam $ just like the dispo. Its crazy man I dont get it just sell it in a painted jar in that case.

I have also seen moldy bud sprayed with shit on the streets to not just big op. Bad practices dont just come from big op like mentioned before in this thread.

Are these actual prices? Where I am it’s like $ 20 grams and $75 eights at the dispo. I don’t buy that crap though, never been impressed with an example from dispo weed yet.
This is the most expensive strain at this dispensary today....

Is not a bad price until you add the 26.25% tax on it.

I can guarantee that there are plenty of commercial growers growing "Top Shelf" cannabis. Black market growers are not the only people that can grow weed. People are fooling themselves if they think what they're growing is so much better that it deserves the ridiculous prices they've been making from it or is so much better than what some of the commercial growers supplying dispensaries are growing.
I am not saying that i have seen some fire coming from big commercial growers. I also have seen some garbage come from there to. I am referring to let the tourist go there and pay top dollar for the same bag you can get cheaper down the road.

Some people still buy cheaper weed like it has been mentioned in this thread. Thats all if it be from the dispo and they get the $100 ounce or the $400 ounce. Or the street were they buy a $50 ounce or a $150 ounce. To some it don't matter there is different way to skin a cat and some prefer it to be cheap.

I agree. A friend bought a top shelf gram the other day to try. He showed it to me and it was really nice. 60 for a gram. I had to laugh. Cocaine is cheaper than that.
I guess it depends where you are. Once it becomes legal at the federal level and it will it will be able to legally move it from state to state and the prices across the country will be like they are in Oregon. Probably cheaper as the competition will ramp up then.

Oregon's already passed a state law that allows interstate transfer of marijuana.

There's great product everywhere. It's not hard to grow great product. That's the problem in many legalized states. An overabundance of great weed. I don't subscribe to all the "Top Shelf" can only be grown by people on the weed forums. I've seen plenty and have smoked plenty of "Top Shelf" cannabis friends of mine have gotten from dispensaries. Many commercial growers are growing "Top Shelf" and that ends up in the dispensaries.
I don’t see top shelf often at all. In fact I’ve never been able to lock down a steady supply of top shelf flower other than growing it myself( Iived under prohibition on the east coast most of my life ) . I’m not the oldest grower/smoker here but I’ve been doing this a long time. There is much more decent to good herb and the supply of what I consider the best is very small. Even now this seems to be true, at least in my scene.

Just like the black market there is good, bad, and better at the dispensaries. Some of these commercial growers are using state of the art equipment with perfect environmental conditions. Many are also growing these "Elite" cuts that people are paying tons of money for. Lots of the good breeders are working with commercial growers. Top notch growers with degrees in Horticulture are also managing things at many. There is no way that "Top Shelf" isn't making it's way to the dispensaries. At least it is here in Oregon.

Once anything becomes a business it becomes profits vs quality. They are in business to make money, and will only make the quality consumers demand.
Look at Harbor Freight, cheap tools, but they probably sell more tools than anyone in America. A professional mechanic demands the highest quality tool, but the ratio of pro mechanics to backyard mechanics is 10000/1.

I agree with most of your statement but it’s relative to your area I guess.I still feel like the very best weed isn’t just east to find.I don’t think Illinois and Oregon are comparable in this way but I don’t really buy dispo weed myself anyway. Commenting on what has been shared with me by others. I think in Cali and Oregon you guys have an entirely different setup, not really comparable to my area.

That's why I threw in that last sentence. I'm sure it's different where your at. For now. Legalization at the federal level will change all of that.

And we can't leave Washington out of the group. It's the same there as well. The whole west coast is flooded in cheap weed. I'm not sure what's going up in Alaska but nobody there seems to be complaining.

Even when it was illegal here it was cheaper than what it costs for legal there today.

yup i know. those guys left but 10x the amt newcomers started pouring in around covid when we peaked and flooded the market.

It seems like only us west coast guys are affected judging by the comments.

I want to sit here and continue business through the rough patch but everybody Ive talked to is thinking the same thing atm.

Who here moves product from west coast to east? lol we're flooded here on the west
Keep it, we grow our own! Legal or not!
