Haven't heard. Have had nothing. Last harvest 3 months ago. Its always slow this time of year for ins. Nothing new. Not sure why all this panic.
Would really love to see pics of the bud people are sitting on.
ill show you 50 different pounds out here what people are sitting on. nobody out here is really selling anything.

You ain't moving nothing where I'm at. You can give it away but with all the dispensaries here in Portland the black market is dead. Most people don't care about all this tops shelf stuff people on the forums think they're growing. They can go down to a dispensary and choose from dozens of choices. $1 grams and $28 ounces. They can spend $25 and go home with half a dozen different kinds of weed.

This is a screenshot as an example of the deals they have at dispensaries around here. And before anyone starts going on about mids and all that you need to realize that mids are good enough for the vast majority of tokers out there. They'll pay $28 for an ounce of mids before they'll pay $150 an ounce for this "Top Shelf" stuff that only cannabis snobs on cannabis forums care about. That's the way it is.

28$ an ounce? I have a friend out that way and he’s talking about paying a hell of a lot more than 28$ an ounce. He’s paying that at most dispensary for an 1/8 of top shelf. Here in Ohio it’s very high priced at dispensary and black market is booming. They charge over 50$ for a 1/10th of an ounce. Lol

I said this wasn't what many would call Top Shelf but it's good enough for most average cannabis smokers. There is also a big difference in price between some of the smaller dispensaries and the larger more corporate ones with multiple locations. The smaller ones have better prices.

I just looked at a couple more online and found more inexpensive weed. It may not be top shelf but most people are not the cannabis snobs you find on the forums. They want the best they can get but are willing to take what many call mids if it costs less than what is being charged for top shelf.

I think too many on the forums are hung up on this top shelf weed not realizing that many are not that concerned as long as it's not a bag of leaf. A bag of smaller buds for $50 or less is just fine for many. Plus many on these forums that grow are not coming close to growing top shelf themselves yet they all claim that dispensary weed is all mids. From the look of all the crispy fried plants at harvest from many it's obvious that many don't even know what top shelf is if they've convinced themselves that their weed is top shelf when it's no better than the mid to lower tier quality range.

I don't know if they use stock photos or actual pictures of the product. Probably stock.

@xtsho can you touch base on this?
@newbplantgrower420

That can be complicated due to the different percentages of sodium hypochlorite in different bleaches. A generic unscented bleach is what should be used. Clorox seems to have changed their original formula and have added some new Cloromax technology. I don't know exactly what that is but it doesn't sound like something I would use. There are generic brands that are just sodium hypochlorite.

You want around 3-4 ppm in the solution and that's going to depend on the concentration in the bleach being used which can range in percentage. The best way to get to the target ppm is to use a dilution calculator and enter the correct parameters for the calculation.

Here's an online one that makes it easy.

Most people these days using chlorine for running a sterile reservoir are using calcium hypochlorite "Pool Shock" rather than sodium hypochlorite "Bleach". Both will work. Bleach can be found at any grocery store so may be easier to get but pool shock is available online. The main thing is to get something unscented and without other additives. Many of the products have stuff you don't want. You can get lab grade 5% sodium hypochlorite on Amazon.

If using Pool Shock you also need to get just the basic one as there are varieties that may contain unwanted additives. I don't know the ratio of pool shock as I've never used it.

I don't have the need to use either anymore. I don't run a recirculating system or DWC and likely never will again. I know many people do DWC but I think it's more of a hassle than it's worth when coco is easier and gives pretty much the same results as far as growth is concerned. And you don't have to worry about root issues, running airstones, changing buckets, etc...

Neither. I was just wanting to run a sterile reservoir

Ah, sorry man. You asked me about this a couple of weeks ago, but I thought you were criticizing me for using bleach, so I gave you a short answer. I can’t remember how much because I haven’t used it since. Only because it slipped my mind. It didn’t harm my plants whatsoever.

Might need to look into getting a license (distributor/non-retail store front). Might be worth it.

If those awesome prices in the PNW are real... why is it out near me in Mass... the dispensaries sell OZs for 200-350?

a solid, reason based answer would be appriectaed. I dont know much about the markets...

Its now legal in NY but wont have dispensaries till next year and I can only imagine they'll charge out the ass..

Detroit Area here.

Thanks to the HORRIBLE practices of the rec and med dispensaries, the black market is alive and well. The shops literally have brown moldy weed for $250 an ounce. That makes my crystal coated, grown with love, high quality marijuana worth $2000-$2400 a pound on the street all day long.

That's here in Detroit.

If I go south to say...Cleveland. The shops are even worse. The same high quality herb goes for up to $3000 a pound to my battle rap friends in the LAND...lol Its still like the wild wild west down there...

I am in the midst of setting up grows now in Florida and Ohio. Both states have gone legal, but alas their greed has made for a VERY lucrative black market in all three places.

Again...good product moves itself. BUT you have to have a market. Its all about who ya know. Ya know.

I went to Denver...
I ran through every dispensary from Golden to Lakewood to Aurora to Commerce City.

There are 4 spots that "actually" have so call "top shelf" flower. I am working at one of those.

That said...Anybody can grow weed.
However, ol skool TESTERS that produce dank 88+% of the time are "limited". Heaven FORBID that they all associate & organize.

I agree with xtosho...
people that smoked mids before legalization
KEPT smoking mids after it.

I agree that "forum heads" are pot snobs...
BECAUSE before this shit was half ass legal...WE made THE MARKET.
Somebody had to grow it...The forum heads.

As a "forum head"...
I pay $20 @ gram.
I support $250 seed packs. S/o Snow High!!
I will spend $500 @ clone.
Why?!
Because I LIVE This SHIT!!!
I wore hand cuffs for fucks sake..

I laugh at boof...
I know Cherry Pie from Grape Pie from Dos Si to OGKB back to Sundae Driver from Birthday Cake to Wedding Cake with Cake Mix from London Pound Cake.

THIS IS THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY...

If weed was just money...this aint for YOU.
If weed got boring after Med/Rec...Not 4 U!
If you arent ready to go head2head for the best flower or best NEW strain...Step aside.
