There are no waiting periods on knives, hammers (for the boss lady... Yeah, for real,) or bows and arrows, if you gotta' get 'em while moving at a distance! I recently got a nice little 3" Gerber. First knife to last more than a week (I've gotta' warranty it next week, but, it's been almost a month and a half!)
No waiting period for me either, except for the suppressor. Everyone has to wait for those. The AR takes 3 weeks because it is on back order.

Yeah they are expensive and several years waiting period for custom order. They do hold value though. I have a Ka-Bar (USA Made) for about $70 that I thought was good value for money.
