This is still an off question for grammer geeks out there. "Text" has developed many uses in the past years; but The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, has "texted" listed as a past tense verb. I.e. She texted me when she arrived.

I sent you a text message yesterday.

Sat is past for sit so is shat past for shit?
I think it is in the old english.
