So this is my first time growing and I was wondering how many days you think till I need to harvest my White Widow :) So far they have been in Bloom for 45 days. Do they look about done? Also do you think the buds are really small for blooming with CFL's?

I tried some about two weeks ago when I accidentally broke a small branch off with some buds. It was a really good head high for quick drying. Which I just put it into a paper sack and keep on my dashboard while I drove a couple hours to LA.

Yeah I thought they were small. I kind of ran into a lot of problems with this first grow and still learning. I over fertilized about 4 weeks in bloom and burnt all the leaves. I had to cut them all off and I think that right there lost me a couple weeks of blooming. So about 3 and 1/2 weeks till I harvest? :)

Best bet would be to get a 30x microscope and check the trichomes. WW is "supposed" to take 8-9 weeks of flowering to finish. I just harvested a few of the top buds on my WW this morning after 52 days of flowering (7.5 weeks) because all the trichomes were already cloudy, with a few turning amber.

I plan on harvesting in stages so that I can get the full range of effects (head high -> couch-lock high).

Thanks :) I bought one of those 60x-100x mini microscopes last week at Radio Shack and tried checking but I can NOT see anything without my glasses on :( When I have my glasses on I can't get my eye close enough to see clearly. I think I'll just harvest in about three weeks.

What do you guys think about not watering the last one-two weeks and then keeping the plant alive in 24hrs of dark for two days?

How many cfls and what watt?Looks good to me cfls are not the route for growing big buds. Its more of a cheap route save on the electric bill and control the heat.

I'm using 20 75watt bulbs in a small coat closet 2ft by 4ft. Should I use more? Also I have them about 3-6 inches away.

some of the leaves look damaged still, are you using warm or soft light 2700k "reddish" cfl's? these are the better cfl for flowering, the bright or outdoor 6500k are better for vegging. also i see you lst'd, are the bottom branches and buds getting enough light or are they all at the top of the plant? i am a beginner but have researched cfl growing here and elswhere extensively, are you using nutes and what type? ph okay? good luck and enjoy!
