hi all, theres alot of controversy over the strain white widow, as all strains, the origin is a bit hazey and many breeder claiming they are the original breeders.
With Widow though, shantibaba is the original breeder of this particular strain. When he was at the GH, he undertook this this breeding projetct and by 95 when it first hit the scene it won it's 1st cannabis cup and since then has went on to win many, many cups, infact it's the strains which has won more than any other strains.
When shantibaba left the GH, he took clones of the White Widow with him, however arjan(owner of GH) was apparently having a hard time keeping the grow rooms in order, hence the reason he brought Franco in.
That's just a little background, on the very exciting strain which is covered in crystals.
I also, see many questions on white widow and what's the best white widow and I am going to tell you them in order, starting from the best WW to buy, down to the lowest, although the lowest is still good weed, I wouldn't consider it the best.
1) Mr Nice Seeds Co - Black Widow (STRONGEST OUT THE LOT & ORIGINAL)
2) Seedsman - White Widow (BEST BUY)
3) Dutch Passion White Widow
4) Green House Seed Co - White Widow
5) De Sjamaan - White Widow (Really expensive seeds, good weed though, however not as strong as the others)
