What do you guys average time frame wise for your clones to root in a cloning bucket?
It's day 11 and don't see any roots yet but there is a buildup on some of the stems
that appears kind of like a slime.. I'm guessing this is the beginning of the roots?
I didn't want to touch it in case it was roots.
I'm concerned for a few reasons.. First time cloning, The space configured gets
hotter than I can currently control. I am using a quad t5 96 watts and it's baking
at 99 degrees. I shut off 2 of the bulbs the other day and now the temps are 90-92.
Hotter than I originally planned for but it is what it is for the minute..
The clones looked great (green and perky) up to about 3 days ago when some
of them starting yellowing on the leaves which I understand is normal prior to rooting?
Despite the yellowing they have never drooped, sagged or looked bad in anyway.

Basically I'm wondering if I should wait another few days or toss and start over.
I'm running out of vertical space and need to switch cycles which should of been done about 2 weeks ago..
As soon as these root I need to start some more for me since these ones were a favor for the guy
who helped me out. So I can't even switch yet due to that..
1st your temps are too high, but you seem to know that, 2nd it is normal to take 20 or more days, 3rd clones prefer shaded/indirect light

all I got without pic's

ok that's basically what I needed to know on the time.
I kept thinking it was 10 days at least before anything showed.

ok iv been budding for 47 days on 12/12 and i use a soil setup, i also am using a 600w light, i have 5 plants on the go in a spare bedroom with plenty of room but they are kind of grouped together ( but not smothering each other ) under the light, i also use tin foil on the cardboard box's surrounding them, now my question is........how come there is very little thc on my buds and leaves? i feed them every 3 days and fresh luke warm water everyday unless they dont need it.

without pic's it is really hard to say and your post count is not high enough to upload any so,,,,,,,,,,

tin foil is wrong/bad
watering every day is wrong unless they are trees (over 4 foot tall)
luke warm water is wrong, plants respond better to cold water

So what strain are they?

what nutes are you feeding?

and what kind of light is that 600 watter?

dnt know excatly but it said on the packet they were a mixture of strain, dont remember what the light is but it hangs down from above with very shiny reflective wings and has a very bright white light, the fella i bought it from said the light can do both growing and bud, the feeding is bio-bloom ( give them 5ml a litre ) i dnt know if iv helped you in what you asked its the first time growing, but everyone has said they are looking fine, also they are 5-6ft tall.also i heard cold water shocks them.

If there are no bugs I wouldnt mess with the fan leaves.. It will do more damage than good. Now that u say that u live in FL and they are brown, the other option may be heat stress.. which I dunno how you can control outside :?

i appreciate the help "JN811" i was thinking about that i will try n cut out an hour with sum shade, they are about 10hr direct sunlight at 90f outside
working on a indoor grow box but figured i should start outside first lol ,,,,,,

sounds like ya got some sativas going which means they will take longer to finish, as far as trichs developing, well there should be some I would think by now but all you can really do is wait and watch em

once you get your post count up you should post some pics so we can see em

I don't mean to cut in. I could use some help.
I got some Swiss Cheese Reg seeds prop'd 5 seeds, I got 4 to break shell. 1 looked indica dom, looked short, fat, dense. 3 looked sativa dom, looked less dense with thinner leaves. I'm 10 days into sexing for mothers and the indica looking plant was the one I thought would be a female. Well it has nuts(sacks). The other 3 sativa looking plants show no sign of preflower. Do females take longer to show? Do sativa dominant take longer to show? What are the chances of all 4 plants being Male? Man that would suck! I've cut back to 10.5 hrs of light will that bring out the sex of the 3 others?

Be patient. They will show. Maturity is crutial in a plant showing sex.. How long have you vegged? and what type of lights are you using? Sativa dominant may take a longer time to show sex, and being male may also take a bit longer to show definative signs but only slightly. You plants should show sex within a week in most cases yet some strains will take a bit longer than others.. The odds are right about 50/50...

Btw I doubt cutting the lighting to 10.5 on will have a positive effect, the sex hormone is released in some plants with up to 14 hours of light, we just do 12/12 to be careful. It can stress the plant by cutting lighting to 10.5 so probably not the best idea. Once again, if the plant is muature and healthy it will show sex rather quickly. Most of the plants Ive grown they've shown sex within 1-3 days yet some others can take up to a week... stay patient.

Btw - I'm Veg'n with a Florex (Blue) 1000 watt CFL and 2 y splitters with 4 150 watt (Amber/Red). I'm gonna clone with an aeroponic set up with a heating pad. Flowering will be completed with 2 1000 watt HPS each on a 4' light rail and 16 - 20 CFL's in shop light reflectors placed upside down (light face up) that will rest on the edge of the pots. 4-5 per 4x4 area. I've only had 1 day of 10.5 hrs I'll switch to 12 ASAP.

the 2 things that fit that description are fungas knat larvae or thrips both are a bitch to get rid of
Can you maybe help explain to me what i should do now? How do i go about figuring out what it is, and then destroying it if necessary?
And what are typical signs the plants give off when being affected by these creatures.

Started 12/12 last nyt with the 8 WW`s, im very concerned now...
