Why do smokers marry people who don't approve of their usage?

Again a stoned Sunday and thinking out loud here. Why do (usually men in my experience) marry women who do not approve of them smoking? I know of a few over the years who have either quit smoking because of this, all of them will tell you they would still like to smoke but not worth the hassle or still smoke and lie to the wife about it. Why if you consider yourself a stoner would you do this, I know love and all that. I guess I am one of the lucky ones my wife likes it as much as I do and has for the entire 20+ years we been together.

What are your thoughts fellow stoners?

i wouldn't even get to the date stage with someone that wasn't a smoker or at least friendly to it. does not compute :eyesmoke:

I couldnt be with a person that didnt let me be me. My ex did smoke when we got married and later in the marriage she quit and tried to get me to quit. I guess thats part of why Im single, lol.

My first wife smoked then she stopped. But it was the guy she was screwing that ended the marriage. My second wife is OK with it as long as I have a MMJ card.
